I'm at The Oaks at Byron Center and then I'm just gonna stay here until my operation. It's fine. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are very roomy, they're not small. With the food, some things I like, some things I don't. I'm sure there's some things you like and some things you don't. I've been here since COVID so I can't go to the dining area. Yesterday I decorated cookies. The staff is great.

I toured The Oaks at Byron Center. I liked that the staff was friendly, and there was a lot of staff members out and about helping the residents. I liked that it was clean and friendly. They offer so many services. If you have a slip-and-fall and break a hip, they will take you back because they have a medical facility there with staff, nurses, and doctors that can get you back in shape with therapy and things. The staff member who gave the tour was amazing. I visited a lot of facilities, and she was the only one that offered me a beverage. I know that's not a big deal, but when you go into someone's home, usually the first thing they do is offer you a beverage, and I thought, "Okay, so you're making a home experience here." They have every service, like if you need physical therapy, they have that. They have a doctor on staff, they have a beauty salon, and they have a room where you can work out. It's just a lovely atmosphere. It's very homey, welcoming, and warm. It's a lovely facility.

The Oaks at Byron Center was brand new, so it was nice. The staff who showed me around was nice. It was a medium-sized facility, and it had the usual amenities. The best thing about it was the location. It's near one of my kids. It's just been built. The staff invited me to come back if I was really interested and have a meal. I visited other people in their rooms, but I haven't looked really. I saw the sample room and I was unimpressed because it was just one room, a bed, and no closet space, so that made me kind of turned off. I suggest more closet space.
