Everything is very good and I'm happy with Woodland Terrace, I've had no complaints. My mother's room is very nice and everything meets her needs just fine. They don't have a library, but they have a salon for the residents. Once a week they take the residents somewhere outside the community, like to the zoo, garden, restaurants or some type of outside activity. They also have regular activities inside every day.

Living in the independent apartments allows one to forget yard maintenance, housework, taxes, insurance, utility bills, transportation and just focus on Enjoying the Fine Art of Living. Our 24-hour staff is always available to make each resident's stay pleasant.

We toured Woodland Terrace. The staff was superb. The facilities were lovely, all on one level. It's large enough to have activities, but small enough to get personalized care. Also, it's more affordable than in Illinois. They had nice grounds, a walking path, a little pond, a beauty salon, a library, and smaller-sized game rooms that were close to the rooms, so my mom would not have to walk very far. That was a big thing for me because Mom was at the point where she couldn't go very far on her own.

I will be moving into the Woodland Terrace on the 30th of May. It's very well-maintained. It's very clean and bright. The staff was friendly, professional, and very helpful. She's followed up with me to assist with the admissions paperwork and all those kinds of things. She's been very responsive. The food looks great. I saw a menu. I also happened to be there at lunchtime, so I saw people eating. They provide very nutritious meals and plenty of food. The people that spoke to me, both residents and the staff were very friendly, obviously very happy. Every resident that I spoke to highly recommended living at Woodland. And I didn't hear a single complaint.

Woodland Terrace was an excellent facility. Everything about it was perfect. The staff was thorough, the rooms were spotless, and good size. Everything was great. The best part about it was it's only half a mile from our house. They were working with the residents when we got there. So, they seemed quite busy.

The Activity Director here was quite snippy and short with us while discussing concerns we had with our Grandmother, she even hung up while we were asking her a question! My Grandmother is getting significantly worse since being here and I'm starting to see what could be the cause. I have left a message with the Administrator about this last week and have yet to hear back from them. I'm not at all impressed at the service we have been getting here and am on the search for a new place.

Woodland Terrace was hospitable, and the facilities were OK. I did not care for the fact that after supper, there was no medical person on duty at all and it was very expensive for what they offered. Also, if your care needs accelerate, you'd have to leave your apartment and go to another building. The rooms looked fine, but were inconsistent because for the same price, some rooms had a fridge and a stove and others had a microwave. For the same pricing and the same square footage, you should be offered the same thing. I had a sample of lunch that was OK. They were all playing games at a table. They had an activities director that made up a game for them where every time you get a right answer, you got a penny. She would make up games instead of playing already established games. She was inventive, and they liked it.

There are several buildings at Woodland Terrace for different levels of need, and mom was in one that had 20 residents. It was like moving into a family and becoming part of it. They served all the meals family-style, and it was homey and nice. There were a lot of activities to keep the residents busy. The staff was very friendly and nice, and they did things together a lot. The food was OK, and Mom never complained. They had exercises in the morning and sang old songs that the residents knew. They had special people come in to sing, teach flower making, and do coloring and puzzles for the residents. They had hair and makeup for women once a week. The facility seemed like a country retreat.

The people that work there are wonderful, and very sweet to my relative. The rooms are airy and have a lot of natural light. It is very home-like and a great place. My only complaint is that on occasion they don't change my relative's depends as frequently as I would like at times and they smell like urine because of it. They also forget to put in their hearing aids sometimes and my relative is quite deaf.
