Consider checking with facility staff to see what measures have been implemented to ensure seniors are not exposed to cold weather conditions.
• DuPage County is home to world-class medical facilities, including those specializing in brain health and dementia care, such as Edward Hospital, Elmhurst Memorial Hospital and the nationally recognized Central DuPage Hospital, in the event of medical emergencies or illness.
• Based on the U.S. national average of 100, the cost of living in DuPage County is significantly higher. It is rated 125.4, which is also much higher than the Illinois statewide average of 102. The largest contributing factors in this difference are high housing and transportation costs, though seniors can expect to save on groceries and health services.
