My father-in-law has moved into AdviniaCare Wilmington. It's new. There are a lot of people from Haiti, so it's like he's at home. The memory care unit itself is older. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. It's a clean facility. They have an activity room, but I don't know how much they can do for memory care patients. The atmosphere is fine. My father-in-law needed to get into one of the nursing homes quickly. So the social worker was the one that got him in there fast because he had a situation at his day care. The room that he has is pretty big because there's supposed to be another person in there, but he is the only person in there. The front desk there would be able to watch him to see the level of memory care that he needed.

My mom has been residing at AdviniaCare Wilmington for about six months. We are so happy with the care she receives here. Administration is kind, caring and always there for us. All of the nurses, aides and staff are so kind to her and friendly with us. This wasn't an easy decision for our family but sure glad we were directed to Advinia.

this is the worst....my sister lasted roughly a year in this facility. I would have to ask for a nurse to go and check on her multiple times for different reasons. They never left the station and residents would be calling for help while sitting in the day room directly across from the station and they would get ignored. One of them being my sister...... residents were very vocal about the treatment they were receiving or not. The day before my sister passed I had visited her and thought she wasn't looking well. So i called a few hrs later to have the check her.. I was told she was good and that they had her up and sitting in the hall by the station. Next thing I know I get a call at midnight..(mind you they had 2 numbers to call but only seem to call the one I rarely answered after being told specifically call my cell)....she was in the hospital where she passed the next day. PLEASE do not consider this facility!!!!!!!!!

Dont ever put someone you love in this place, I can say some of the staff were wonderful but I also can say many were not. Starting with the executive director. I was told all the right things, when I visited the facility and at first yes some of it was true. But the most important was not... our loved one was not taken care of. He was given medicine without authorization, he was declining for days and no family was contacted until he ultimately passed without giving his family the ability to see him, say goodbye. This is unacceptable , he died alone no one with him. His last wishes never met, his priest never called. To this date that facility has not even made an attempt to contact his family, to explain what happened. Please I beg of you do not put your trust in this facility your loved one means more, deserves better. I have to live with myself for allowing them to do what they did to my family . I was very diligent in calling, being very present and it did not matter. They didnt answer phone calls, e-mails, i even showed up several times only to be told no one available to see me. They took this Covid situation and saw dollar signs neglected their resident patients and only looked after the incoming recovering patients. they truly should be ashamed of themselves. Ask around, look into there history. Be aware stay safe

I have been to here three times and I have enjoyed every stay. Everyone was so great to me. Therapy was good and I built a friendship with my therapist and trusted them. Nursing department was excellent they took great care of me and are friendly. Food is tasteful I enjoy eating in the dinning room with some of the ladies who live here. They have all types of activities to do. I liked the bingo, bowling and the music. The help here is amazing and wouldn't think about going to any other facility.

The help is generally great. Staff is kind, happy and help solve problems. Therapy has been consistent and they are encouraging, even when I get discouraged. I was able to work toward my goal. This is my first time here but my mother was here a couple years ago and she received great quality care.

I met with the Head Nurse of the facility where he showed me around the very large facility. It seemed like a hotel with elevators and the Nurse said that we like to have a 4 star hotel atmosphere and he said that this facility is privately owned. There were rehabilitation areas and the staff was very friendly. They have lots of activities for the patients to get involved in where there is a schedule posted in various places. The waiting area where I waited for him was very large, with comfortable couches and the color is nice. There were small dogs coming in and out of the facility where they are allowed to come and visit because their loved ones need encouragement. The dining area where people can feed themselves had fancy napkins, nice dinnerware, nice tables, friendly workers and patients. The food smelled delicious and they wanted us to come in and join the fun. The other dining area was for the patients who need help feeding themselves and the staff was very friendly, patient, and accommodating. The rooms were colorful and they allow portable air conditioners if the patient so desires it. They have fresh water with some lemons in it at each section of the facility at all times. I was impressed at how clean the facility is and how friendly the workers and patients are. The patients are treated with respect and dignity and the Nurse said, "We bring people back from the dead here". I like their attitudes and it seems to resonate throughout the whole building that I can feel positive feelings. I like the entertainment area has a working gas fireplace, large TV's, piano in a separate area and light green curtains and matching furniture. it seems like a comfortable environment. I met a woman who was waiting for her granddaughter and she had a flower craft she made for her. They make arts and crafts for one of their activitites. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants dignity, respect, and a great rehabilitation place. They are the most accommodating, friendly Nursing Home Facility that I have visited so far. I will recommend this to my family members.
