My wife is a resident in the physical rehab section, soon to be released. Staff very helpfull, professional, and friendly. My wife felt safe, and comfortable while she's been there. Hopefully, we won't have need for this type of care going forward, but if we do, we would not hesitate to use this facility again.

Don't do it. Dad went in after back surgery and within 2 weeks, he was at death's door. During COVID, we couldn't see him. He had a follow-up with his surgeon who called me absolutely livid. They had misled my mother into authorizing Seroquel and it damn near killed him. He went in there completely fine mentally. Within 2 weeks he couldn't sit up and he was incontinent. Nobody at Lifecare told us. Of course not. They were causing it!! Absolutely disgusting, vile, and no compassion or regard for basic human dignity. This is what nursing homes due. They drug patients to a vegetative state to make them easier to care for. It's all over the country. Who knew? Watch where you put your loved ones. This place almost killed my 72-year-old father.

Do not let your loved one stay here. My Mom went after being in the hospital with a broken arm. I went to visit her at 6pm. She was in the hall wearing only a Johnny that was pulled up to the top of her thighs. She was cold. When I asked why she was there I was told for her safety because she kept moving in her bed. I also learned that she had spent several hours there the night before. Nothing excuses practically naked freezing cold 82 year old woman in the hall for hours.

My dad went in Life Care Center of the South Shore for rehab, and he's in hospice care now. It's a typical nursing home setup, and it?s very hospital looking, but the care he's getting is really good. He's very comfortable, and his needs are being met. We feel very good that he's probably at the best place for him at this point. The staff is great, and there aren't many amenities, but they have an activity area and physical therapy in a well-equipped gym. They show movies, and they have musicians and entertainment come in.

The RN's and CNA's were always friendly. The best experience I had, however, was with the kitchen. Throughout her stay she had 3 different dietary changes, all of which the kitchen handled immediately and appropriately. One of the kitchen staff would help me out frequently, whenever I brought her food he'd grind it for her so that she was able to swallow it. He helped me find recipes and ingredients that would best suit her dietary needs. The receptionist always had a kind word, the nurses and nursing assistants were always incredibly sweet to her. She saw it as a long slumber party, made friends with everyone and was always quite pleased with the quality of life she had. The things that were important to me: the cleanliness, the quality of the nursing team, the nutritional value of the food, the general friendliness and attitude. These were all well done, or over my expectations.

Both of my parents spent time at this facility. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, compassionate and knowledgeable. My mother could not have scripted better care. When my mother was in her final days the staff were so caring to both my Mum and our family. The leadership team is helpful and supportive. They lead with professionalism and quiet authority. The activities are varied and plentiful. The food is tasty and pleasing to the eye. -Maureen
