A woman from Montachusett Home Care came three days a week. The agency was recommended by our senior center. The caregiver showered and did everything for my mom and she was just very clean. My mom really loved her. Even the agency was just on top of everything. I had no problems so far.

I hope this agency never needs to find their way out of a paper bag because they're completely inept when it comes to investigations of elderly abuse. In our family's case, a mother/grandmother was isolated not only from us and her grandsons, but also from other family and friends by other family members. Montachusett Home Care failed to investigate this matter thoroughly resulting in the waste of our time and money, not to mention Massachusetts tax payers' money. Even after presenting legal affidavits and offering to have other family and friends testify to provide compelling evidence to show their investigation was flawed, the executive director did nothing. I can only hope that our mother/grandmother is safe, healthy, and competent to make her own decisions. If you are in need of help in this area, you're better off contacting the DA's office than pursuing anything with this agency.

I've been using Montachusett Home Care for about a year now. The caregiver goes grocery-shopping for me. She runs errands and gets my prescription. She's very considerate and kind. She talks decent and she's just a nice person. The agency can improve on training their staff on dusting and helping me out with certain things that I can't do like bending. They send me people that can't bend. What good is that? They also don't provide transportation and that's what I'm looking for.
