I have to start out by saying that the situation with my mom was fluid and we were not getting a lot of information from the hospital she was admitted to. It was evident, based on the situation, that she would not be able to go to the home she had known for 46+ years. With that being said, we (my sisters and I) worked with Lisa and she made the process seamless. We had previously discussed finding her an assisted living home when she was ready, but the need to find one became a top priority in a matter of days. My sister reached out a few places but none met the needs we were looking for. One of the places we contacted referred us to Golden Pond and I will forever be thankful that they did. In our darkest hours, Lisa, Doug, Grace and the rest of the Golden Pond community were the shining light that we so desperately needed. From the moment we initiated the conversation, through the application process, and after the move-in, the staff has been and continues to be a partner in helping my mom transition into the next phase of her life. To say that my mom is introverted would be an understatement. In the short time that she has been at Golden Pond, my sisters and I, as well as my aunts, have seen a change (for the better) in my mom. She is thriving at Golden Pond. She has made friends and is comfortable in her new community. This is more than we could have, as a family, hoped for. I cannot say enough about the folks that work for and run Golden Pond. I am confident in saying that the care, support, and communication provided by Golden Pond far exceeds what we were looking for.

My mother has been a resident at Golden Pond for almost 2 years now. This is my first on-line review of any business but felt it was worth a minute of my time. Golden Pond gave my mother her life back. When the pandemic started my mother was living alone in her own home worked and had a great social life, she then became a shut-in. I asked her if she would like to visit Golden Pond, with hesitation and fear she said yes. Before the visit was over, she said she wanted to live there. Within a week I had her packed and moved into her new home. She immediately adapted, engaged in activities, and made new friends and has never looked back. Staff members are great and there is always someone around if she does need any type of help. Management have taken all the necessary precaution’s during the pandemic to keep their residents safe. With mandates easing the social calendar is filling up with activities both inside and out. And she enjoys the food!

PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!! I'm looking to move my loved one but feel an obligation to inform families about this place. Don't be fooled by pretty pictures.of the building because a nice building does not mean good care or sanitary practices The management does not care about the residents or their staff. Unfortunately this non caring attitude by management is passed on to their unappreciated staff who receive no support, training or encouragement. I'm sure you can can surmise that this attitude ends with inadequate care for our loved ones. Also, there is a serious infestation of rodents which I've seen evidence in a resident's room and kitchen area. There are very few activities geared toward dementia residents. My favorite is holding up a cellphone for residents to see pictures. 😥 Very sad.

Food is consistently cold and for the most part lousy. Aides were good and work hard but..... upper management basically does not engage with the residents unless it's over a complaint or issue. They have resident meetings but nothing really changes. Residents seem afraid to rock the boat and say how they really feel. Activities are not very engaging. Elderly people in assisted living are people and shouldn't be treated like children. Amenities are weak.

The Communities at Golden Pond is a nice place and has all the levels of care. It seems that in every wing they have laundry, so you can either do it yourself or they will do it. I felt comfortable there. They had good cafeteria food.

This facility is huge, and it is currently under construction adding even more space. There is also a mix of newer and older spaces. Much of this building is older and in serious need of being updated. Some rooms are a good size but many are tiny. We opted for another place for mom to live.

I brought my parents to see Golden Pond, and I thought it was very nice. The only reason why they didn't go there was the room that they had available at that time was way too small for the two of them. Otherwise, they were very nice and pleasant people. Also, I wasn't impressed with the patio or its outdoor layout.

Everything was very nice at Golden Pond like the rooms and the dining room. There were lots of parking grounds. The outside had woods, and there was a pond next to it. It was a two story building; it had an elevator in it. It had a lot of accommodation which was very good. That’s for two people, but you can get one smaller for just one person. It had a bathroom, a kitchen, the living room, and the bedroom. They had an exercise area and things for dryers and washers. The door is secured, but they’re not locked in.

My father lived at Golden Pond for over a year until recently, and we were delighted with the staff, facility and administration there. My dad can be (ahem) a little difficult, and resisted the move, but within a few weeks he settled in, and felt that he was at home. He had a room of his own which was a decent size, and when he had minor issues (like could not get his TV to work) the staff was quick to help. We can't say enough about everyone we met there - we look back on that year as a real good one for my dad, in large part because he was at Golden Pond.

My mom had not moved in yet, but we chose Golden Pond for her. It's in the same town where I live. It had new apartments, which were nice and clean and was more of an independent focused. They had washer and dryer in the apartment itself. It had a nice kitchen and they were in good size. Their common rooms were also nice and clean. The staff had been very helpful through the process and they seemed to offer a wide range of activities.

I chose Golden Pond because they're 15 minutes away from my home. It's a good community. People really liked being there. The rooms just need to be updated though. The staff is very responsible. Everybody likes the food there.

Golden Pond is located halfway between my place and my younger brother's place. We needed a place that is just not an assisted living but also have psychiatric care because my father was bipolar. I talked to a social worker at Jordan hospital and suggested Golden Pond. They have a lovely dining room. My father could eat like a regular resident and the meals were good. The staff was very good and kind to my father. He has his own private bedroom there. The place needs a bit of renovation though.

I was looking for a nursing home and I got in contact with a woman and mentioned that her mother is Golden Pond assisted living. She talked about them favorably. I called my mother to check it out and she did and she signed up the same day. It's been and excellent experience. She's been there for over 2 years. My mom's happy there and very responsive. She used to like the food but now she's on a restricted diet.

My mom loves it there in the Golden Pond. She thinks it's a wonderful place. They take good care of her. Every time she leaves, she always wants to go right back. It's really a great place for her.

We chose Golden Pond because they have a Psychiatrict component to their care. The staff has been very good with my brother. They go out once or twice a week as part of their activities which my brother likes. He's very comfortable and safe there. As far as I can tell, he is doing very well and happy to be there.
