There is a new administrator at this community as of April 2022 who is working hard to change things and implement processes that will improve the quality of life for residents. The front desk receptionists, admissions and department heads are very caring and concerned for their residents, but like many nursing homes during COVID, there is a lot of turnover in the nursing staff. Activities tries hard to raise the spirits of residents. Rehab services are excellent quality, and a lot of new equipment was brought into the building for this purpose. I highly recommend this facility if you want your loved one to come for rehab, cardiac care or dialysis. Food does need to be improved, they are aware of this.

Rehabilitation minimal compared to the price. Rehabers live with residents who may be on various levels of cognition.

I was there about 6 weeks and it was a disaster. The nurses and AIDS did not respond to your calls in a timely manner. If you try to contact someone of higher authority that person would never pick up the phone and would never return your call. Also if you requested to see someone of higher authority, that person would never come by your room to see what you were requesting. The food was another disaster. It was a type of food that no diabetic are borderline diabetic should be eating as a meal. A lot of the meals had no meat. Since I was there recovering from a surgery due to a wound I needed a lot of protein which I was not getting there. They had a dietitian that came around the first few days I was there but it seemed that she was there just for show because nothing came of her visit. My meals continued as everyone else's and there were no supplements to help me with the proteins that I needed. During my last week at the rehab it seems that the staff just totally disregarded my needs. I have a catheter, an indwelling catheter, and it started leaking and it needed to be changed. They let me go almost a whole week before they did what was necessary. So I lay there in a lot of urine and constantly trying to change my own diaper to keep the urine off of me for that length of time. Finally a concerned nurse came on duty and she took action immediately to resolve the issue.

the food for a dialysis patient is horrible...they do not understand the meaning of renal and diabetic diet...serving gravy and french fries and mashed potatoes, juices, and things that are unrecognizable. Everyone gets the same tray, regardless. Another thing, getting to dialysis is bad...sometimes you have to wait for an hour to have someone take you and then you are cut short of your treatment by the time you arrive late. Then you have to wait for some one to come to pick you up (maybe an hour or more). I've (as a patient) talked to the supervisor about all this and he looked at me as if I were talking to the wall. After finally getting out of there ,alive, I hope to become a Patient Advocate for these poor people. I do have to say that the physical therapy people are fabulous. Lynlee B eE vveryone one gets the same tray.Helping patients get to dialysis is unbearable...sometimes a wait of up to an hour!!! In which the person has to be cut an hour of treatment!

If you dont want any nursing care and dont want your medications and not be able to get out of bed because there is no one to help you and you love cold hard food and laying in bed in a wet diaper for 4 hours then this place is for you. It was a nightmare

Please don't take any one you love there. My dad was In this place for rehabilitation and they left him in wet diapers for hours and days. During the care meeting on speaker I heard my dad yelling that they were putting stuff in his food and he said that they wouldn't give him cold water . Then we were told he gave nurses hell all morning Friday . They had a phone in the room but 3 different people had the same number so we put in a complaint. Then the moved him to unit 3 he didn't have a phone or a jack so he couldn't call anyone. Then they finally gave him a cell phone. Then the day after the nurses said he gave them hell we talked to him and he didn't sound good at all so then Monday my Mom called and my dad said he felt very very tired and he couldn't talk. Tuesday and Wednesday go by but he never called and then Thursday my mother called and they told her the nurse was busy so she called back and then they tell her my dad has expired. How can he be dead if he was only in there for rehabilitation so could start to walk again after he had pneumonia in December. I find it a little funny that he got sick the day after we had the meeting and they said he gave the nurses hell. He would still be here today if he never would have went to this place. Please don't send your loved ones there.

My grandmother was in this facility, and although I could not visit the staff in the facility provided me with updates regarding her care. I was very pleased with the love and support that they gave her during her stay.

My mother is at Orchard Hill Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. We like the location and how nice the staff are. They treat her like I would treat her. Their service is pretty nice. You can't just go in their rooms right now because of COVID. You got to make an appointment a day in advance. The price is a bit high. She's very particular about food, but she said it's good.

Wish I could give this place a zero. The list admissions counselor said my love one would be in a renovated room. They put him in a room with dims lights on a cot. I had him out of there in less than 24 hours. I told him walk out...even if you have to leave your clothes...we will purchase more. This place sucks..the admissions counselor is all about the $$$.

I was there for 2 weeks first I was in a room with a resident who passed away for 16 hours before they removed him. I was supposed to be in room by myself because recovery from covid19, my meals were always cold never giving any drinking water when asked never giving any water to bathe Assistant were very rude to me when 7 pm arrived never saw a person until 8 am the next day,I pushed button for assistance they never would come to my side unt64 hours later I contacted my insurance company and asked my caseworker to have me discharged to my home after I explained to them what went on with me and they agreed, my discharged day they didn't want to release me until I threatened to bring legal action on them facilities was very dirty as well as the room

My husband had rehab at Orchard Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. It smelled bad, and it was one of the worst ones he's been in. They didn't take very good care of him at all there. Services depend on the time of the day and if it's a weekend. The food was not good portion wise and there were many times where he didn't even get a meal, so I had to go out and buy. He just had speech, occupational, and physical therapy at bedside. Cleanliness was okay, but the layout was horrible. There was never anyone at the nurse's station because they're redesigning the place. They need more staff especially overnights and weekends.

We visited Manor Care. This place leaves a lot to be desired. The staff was OK, but communication was not good. There were two people to a room, and it was like a closet compared to the other facility. Security was fine. You have to be buzzed in and buzzed out. Overall, they need to improve on communication.
