I visited this facility

We liked Hart Heritage Estates in Street, MD because of the cost and that they had a memory care, which I thought would be helpful for Mom. People are able to roam around, and it was a nice family-oriented community. They gave us a good walk around in what they do and how they care for the folks. They were just honest about the care they provide and they were pretty good about explaining what they were going to do and what they couldn't do and things like that.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My dear hard workers, Your kindness really mad a difference, your thoughtfulness really touched my heart, the gratitude I feel really can't be put into words. Thank you for all that you did to make my Nick comfortable. Your kindness during those last few hours will not be soon forgotten. The work that you do is so very hard, but the lives that you touch mean so much.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

To the staff of Hart Heritage, Our family understands that facilities like Hart Heritage are designed to take care of people that they or their families are no longer safely qualified to take care of them. We put our loved ones in your care in hopes that they are treated with the best possible care and dignity that is offered. It was very gracious of the staff to let our mom and her hubby sit in the dining room so she could enjoy her sushi. They always made her the special green tea she liked to drink with her sushi. At night I know that they would prepare her special Japanese snack for her that was provided for her by her hubby. This was very kind and considerate to our mom knowing they did not have to go out of their way to accommodate her. Near the end when she started her journey to heaven even though she showed no signs of consciousness the staff treated her with such compassion. They talked to her and I even witnessed a few of the staff give her a kiss which made us feel like she was one of their own family members. We know she loved them and would always say how nice the staff was. We were very grateful for the meals, snacks and drinks that were provided while family waited for her to close her earthly eyes and open her heavenly eyes. The accommodations that were made in her room so family could be there with her were very much appreciated. Our family would like to thank the staff at Hart Heritage for your excellent care of her. It is hard to leave your loved one in someone's care not knowing he outcome. The kindness of the staff went well beyond their obligations. Near the end of her journey the staff treated her and the family so well. We know she wasn't in pain and was kept comfortable until she completed her journey. We also feel that Hart Heritage was the best place for her and never had one concern about her care while she stayed there. Even her last days on earth we feel that the staff treated her with compassion, empathy and kindness and was deeply appreciated by her family and will always remember that she was at the best place she could be. Our family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts for the care that she received at Hart Heritage. The Marvel Family

I am a friend or relative of resident

To Danielle who Stella says saved her life last year when her heart rate was high. To Tasha and Stephanie who checked her sugar, blood pressure and gave her medicine & smiles. To Michelle in the kitchen who always made sure she had her orange slices & corn on the cob. I want to thank all of you that took care of my aunt Stella. It is still hard to believe that she is not at Hart Heritage playing bingo and singing songs. I have come to know most of you over the last year and am very grateful for the love and care you gave her. Thanks to all of you. I saw your genuine love for Stella and so glad you were there to care for her this past year and in her last days.

I am a friend or relative of resident

We were very pleased with the care our father got while at Hart Heritage. He was always dressed and well fed. We liked the large group room where the patients are kept, never staged in their own rooms to sit alone all day. Even though he was past the point of communicating, just knowing he was out in the open and constantly watched was very reassuring. We looked at many facilities and felt this was as close to a home type situation while still having the care he needed that we could find.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My father is currently in Hart Heritage, which is close to my house. The place is very clean, very bright and open. It is very big and spacious, and their rooms and bathrooms are a decent size. There aren't that much residents and I just like that he can move around freely. The staff is very nice and the food is good. The proportion is small but older people don't eat that much, so it's good for them. They have Bingo, a lot of crafts, puzzles, snack time, three meals a day, and TV. But, I think they need to keep a closer eye on medications, and to improve their billing and recruiting because I thought we were rushed into getting my father at this place. There was also poor communication because they told us that they had a health doctor, but he's actually just an on-call doctor and this doesn't help my father. If I knew that, I wouldn't have put my father in a different county because now, I have to take him every time to see his regular doctors.
