My father-in-law was at The Brightview Perry Hall facility, and it was so nice. What's good about the community is that if something happens but you're not independent, you're in that same facility. They take care of you, and you don't have to be moved. The nurses, doctors, everybody's right there. We checked out all of the facilities. They have a large dining room and a pub. They have three dining rooms and a workout gym. You can get good therapy right there, or they can come to the room to give you physical therapy. It is one of the reasons I wanted to get that for my father. They have things going on all the time. They are different activities and bingo. They have a band there and a courtyard. It's phenomenal. The staff that we met was wonderful. They're cordial, and they meet all your needs and concerns that you might have. They're always there if something happens. My father didn't feel well going down one day, so they delivered the food to the room. They have a weekly menu, and you choose from all these different entrees just like a regular restaurant. They took care of my father most of the time, and they stayed with him. I can't say enough good words about that facility. They also have a cook there. It's very expensive to live there (about $4,300 a month), but you get good quality food and everything's top-notch. Everything is the best. It's spotless. They come out once a week to clean. The rooms are humongous for people with wheelchairs or walkers. The rooms are very spacious, especially the bathrooms.

Brightview Perry Hall was pleasant. It's a very nice facility, but it's pricier than the other two places I visited. They had activities when I was going through the tour. They also have another facility that deals with people who need treatment like Alzheimer's or intensive care. They had nice paintings and nice carpeting throughout, and the individual apartments were well cared for. It looked like a top level resort. They had a pool, a number of restaurants, a theater, entertainment, a calendar of activities for the month, and shuttle services available. The restaurants were very nice. I was treated for lunch when I went there and the meal was prepared by a chef. They have waiters that serve you. The facility was very nice. They even delivered a bouquet of flowers the next day after the tour.

Brightview was great, brand new, but very expensive. The rooms were nice and bright. The staff was very helpful.

Brightview Perry Hall had different activities where you're meeting your neighbors. They had shuttle buses that take you to the shopping malls. You can cook in your apartment and bring in your own furnishings.

I am very happy here at Brightview Perry Hall. They have card games, entertainment, exercises -- pretty much everything. I am very happy with the rooms too. They also have an activity room, entertainment, and exercise programs.

I have lived at this community for about 6 months now. I started in the Independent Living section and unfortunately, due to needing a little more help, I've had to move to the Assisted Living section of the community. I only say unfortunately because I wish I could have stayed independent longer. However, I'm glad I got to spend the time that I did in the independent living side of things. What is really nice is that all services are in one building and I still get to see and mingle with the friends I made in Independent Living. I was scared to go to assisted living, scared to move here in the first place actually, but once I made the decision to do it, I have never regretted it. I like to stay in control of things as much as I can and prior to moving here, I researched a lot of other places to live. There was really only one other place in the Perry Hall area that offers senior living and they were too big and too expensive for my taste. Plus, I didn't like the idea of giving them control of most of my money. It's much smaller here, but that's what makes it homey and the staff is so sweet and kind, everybody seems very happy to work here and I like that. If you ever come to Brightview Perry Hall you might meet me personally because they have made me an ambassador for the community, I love living here that much and telling people how unsure I was in the first place to move in. You will not regret your decision, trust me! Oh, and my daughter likes that I stayed in the area and am now even just a little bit closer to her.

Brightview Perry Hall was a brand new facility. I wanted to take a look at it partly because it was convenient to my home and because I knew the Brightview reputation. The staff that I met was very nice. I liked their facility a lot, and I felt that if my father was more on the independent living side, it would have been a great fit for him. The rooms were of good size and in great shape. They were actually a little bit bigger than the facility he was at. It was well-kept, I liked the person I had talked to, I had a good feel for the rooms, and I had the chance to watch some of the residents interact, and those are some of the things that I thought were very good about the facility. If someone is looking for an independent living facility, I think they would be excellent.

Brightview was due to open in a few weeks, so they were giving tours through certain areas of the building and it looked beautiful. It was brand new. Everything was still unused and very clean. It was close to our home. There was a shopping center just before and after you pulled into their parking lot. They sounded like they had a lot of activities for the people to do. They gave a lot of support services like they had call button necklaces that the people could wear so in case there was an emergency, they just locate the button. Their bathrooms are handicap-accessible and also had a call button in there. It would be the kind of place I would have loved to have put my mom in.
