I toured Warm Heart Family Assisted Living - Mount Airy and the gentleman I met was very nice and pleasant, but the owner was not forthcoming. She pitched a different story and told me that an RN is there every day, but the gentleman said no and that they report to an RN and that the RN is not on their campus every day. So, I tend to believe more in the guy who is there every day, not the owner who wants to sell me her property. That was sort of disconcerting. You're getting two different stories, which is not good. The facility was also very dated. They need to upgrade their carpets and paint because everything was very old.

I went to Warm Heart Family Assisted Living. I did not like it. The rooms were small. The first step that I took onto the porch made me leery. I was not happy with it. It's the overall upkeep, but there was no smell problem. The lady was very nice. She was a little pushy, but the gentleman that gave me the tour did not even speak to the residents. The residents were sitting in the room and watching TV. Most of them seemed like they didn't even know I was there.

The medical care is abysmal. Buyer beware. My loved one was in one of their facilities and they overmedicated him and left him to sleep for hours and hours was so they would not have to take care of him. The medical personnel will not answer calls or questions. Ever

The location of Warm Heart Family Assisted Living is wonderful and the outside is also wonderful, but I was disappointed when I went inside. Everybody was very old, and the residents were just sitting and looking at the TV. They weren't doing anything, although the staff member told me that they do have activities. The staff member was very friendly and showed me around. The rooms that I saw had old furniture which I didn't have a problem with, but it looked like everything was just thrown together and nothing matched. The only way I can describe it is that it looked like a rummage sale. The kitchen staff explained to me the preparation of the meals and they had the menu posted for the week. The kitchen was very spacious. The patients just seemed very happy, although there were no activities going on other than the television.

Warm Heart Family Assisted Living was basically a single homey house with shared bedrooms and shared bathrooms. It was dirty, the furniture was old, and was not a very nice place. I felt they were trying to make money. They have around five bedrooms.

Warm Heart Family seemed to be a nice facility but didn’t have the means necessary to handle my father’s condition. The location was difficult to find, but it was very nice. The rooms were very basic. They allowed you to bring in personal items for your family member, which was very nice because some places did not allow that. The staff people were all very wonderful and seemed to be very knowledgeable. It seemed a little expensive, but it was a private room and they had plenty of staff on-site. If they had been able to accommodate his needs, it would have been worth it.

We have chosen Warm Heart Family Assisted Living. It’s clean and big, and the location is good for us. At that particular location, they’re accommodating for all different levels of care. They have the furniture in the rooms, so that’s nice that you don’t have to provide furniture.

Warm Heart was a very nice, very clean, top-notch facility. They were extremely helpful. I'd definitely recommend them to anybody. It certainly had everything that you could hope for that you would need. I was very impressed with them. There were several residents watching TV. I got there just after breakfast so they were basically just relaxing. They had a walking facility and a gazebo in a lovely setting right near horse pastures. They had two dining areas, one upstairs and one downstairs. It's adequate and nice. There's nothing negative that I could say about it.

Warm Heart Family Assisted Living is a large facility and more expensive than advertised. It wasn’t a good fit for my husband’s grandmother. It felt homey, and the people seemed happy there. There were some private rooms and some shared. They offered rooms in the basement, which was drabby. The community was clean, though. It was more like family-owned, so it wasn’t as clean as a big facility would be.

We put my father-in-law into Warm Heart Family Assisted Living. We think it’s wonderful. We love the people and we think that they really do care. It’s always clean. We’ve met the cook on numerous occasions and there are at least one or two ladies who assist him. My father-in-law loves to eat so there have been no complaints about the food.

Warm Heart Family Assisted Living is like a house out in the country. They only took a certain number of residents, but it was very peaceful. The people were very kind. It was just unfortunate that my brother got really ill there right after I moved him in. He was only there for a month and he passed away. Nevertheless, Warm Heart Family Assisted Living was like a home, and that was what was appealing to me. It was like my brother was in a big home. He had his own room. There were one bathroom for the three rooms, but it was handicapped. They had people that were there 24 hours a day that looked after them and cared for them. The staff had all been through training. They had a registered nurse, and the nurse that come once a week to look over all the patients. They were just very caring. They were very kind to him and very caring. He just felt like he was at home. We’re really pleased with the care that they gave him.

Warm Heart was a smaller place, and it was near a horse farm. It was small and private, and it was like a converted house. It was nice. The people who ran it were very personable. It had a few residents, so it was homey. There was a big variety of rooms, and it looked like someone's home bedroom. A few rooms had a bathroom, but others had common bathrooms. The place was clean. The people were cordial and very friendly. It would have been a nice place to be, though I thought my mother, personally, would have prepared a more resort-like place, but it was very intimate. Because they were only a few of them, the residents knew each other. From what I saw, I would recommend them.

My mother has been at Warm Heart for the past several months and my family is very pleased with her care. We visit regularly and find the facility is always very clean and the staff is very helpful. Our mother is also clean, with clean cloths and clean hair at all times. We like that the facility gets regular visits from health care professionals. It is a sad time when you need to place a loved one in the care of someone else; however our mother is well cared for and is receiving the help that she needs for everyday living. I appreciate the entire staff and trust them in my mother’s care.
