The staff at Country Meadows of Frederick was very helpful, very patient, and took the time to answer the questions. They were just great. They were patient and followed up. They had a dining area. It was spotless. The bedroom size was good. It's close enough to some restaurants and hospitals, too.

We toured Country Meadows of Frederick Retirement Community. Debbie, who was the marketing person, was very engaging and very thorough. She did an excellent job and she introduced me to any of the staff that was there. And all of them were very positive and very engaged, and that was very nice. The place is a little dated, but it's still in very good condition. It's only 21 years old, and everything looks like it is kept neat, tidy, and clean.

Country Meadows in Frederick has been a life saver for our family. We had to transition my mom from an independent living facility in Virginia to an assisted living facility. We chose Country Meadows due to a number of things but right off the bat was the communication we received from Debbie S. She was outstanding during this process and was so patient with me and all the questions I had. Every employee had a great attitude and was so nice to my mom. My mom has met new friends and really seems to like her new surroundings. If I have questions or concerns I can email or call and I will receive a quick response. To me that is so important. I highly recommend this facility and when you do I am sure Debbie S. and Amy M. will impress you to a point where this place would be the best option for your loved one.

Country Meadows of Frederick is in a nice location in Frederick. It was very lovely. I became familiar with it when I went with a friend who was looking at places sometime in 2020, but I remember it being very nice. The people were welcoming to us and everything looked clean. It was very nice and the setting was very lovely. The staff was very, open, and friendly, and listened to all my friend's questions and my questions.

My mother is now a resident at Country Meadows in Frederick in the Pathways section. She started out moving to the Independent Living section a few years ago. We wanted her to be closer to family after my dad passed away and it was really the best decision we could have made to move her to CM Frederick! We tried at first looking at places suggested by A Place for Mom but didn't really find the right fit. We continued looking when we found out that A Place for Mom is a "pay to play" type service - facilities paid them a few in order to be recommended to callers. Our search persistence paid off when we found a listing for CM and went for a visit! Besides being closer to family, we liked the fact that they have different levels of care so mom was able to easily transition from IL to Pathways (regenerative care) without having to look for someplace new. The maintenance staff even moved all her belongings for us! I can't say enough good things about the CM staff. They really go above and beyond to make each resident AND the families feel welcome and cared for. There are lots of different planned activities and residents can be as busy as they choose to be. Some other great points: 1. They have a number of different size units, from one and two bedrooms to studio apartments so finding something within your budget is pretty easy. 2. The facility itself doesn't seem "institutional" at all - very clean, well maintained, well decorated - the feel is more like a nice apartment building. 3. Residents/families can use the CM vehicles and drivers for transport to stores and appointments - this has really been helpful for us as mom has had more difficulty with walking and getting around. No place is perfect and I will have to say that the one downside is the hit or miss quality of the food at times. Mom can be a picky eater so we factor that in, along with the fact that CM, like other places, is I'm sure struggling to attract and keep staff in food services. To end on a positive note, I'll say again how happy we've been to have mom at Country Meadows-Frederick. It's definitely worth a look if you're searching for a spot for yourself or a family member.

This is the worst facility I’ve seen. My mom and mother in law have been in several facilities in Florida and Maryland. The food is bad, the management is worse. The aids are okay but there are far too few. Management doesn’t care about the residents. Get people in the door just to make money and lie to them. No activities. It was awful. They had one activity in the morning and if you didn’t like puzzles your in real trouble. BORING.

Country Meadows of Frederick has a memory care unit in the lower level of the facility. My wife was there before and it's locked so that the residents couldn't get out. The staff was generally friendly, attentive, and seemed to care about the residents. There were a variety of activities for them, but she didn't participate in much of that. I think she's slowing down her movement a little bit now to the point that maybe she will, but they had quite a number of things to do each afternoon. I haven't tasted the food but I saw what they served and it looked quite attractive, and she was very happy with it. She was not capable of giving in much detail or descriptions, but she seemed pleased with it and that I think was real. So, I was quite satisfied with the food. It also looked like the meals that were served down in memory care were the same things that the people from the upper levels have and who had more conscious choice and willingness to eat things. I would like their price to be a lot cheaper, but it is what it is. The price point up in Frederick was a lot better though than it was down in Potomac.

I'm going to move into Country Meadows of Frederick. It seemed to be very well run. The staff was very good. The apartment was small but very nice. They seemed to have everything that anybody could possibly want. What I'm interested in is getting physically fit again, because I've not been able to exercise much. Everything's very well kept. There were lots of outdoor areas and lots of space where you can be alone, be with people, or just enjoy the view, and it's splendid.

I was impressed with Country Meadows Retirement Communities and the people in it. Our overall experience was very good. We only saw a couple of apartments. One person invited us into her apartment, and it was very nicely furnished. Everything was first rate. I did an in-person tour, but I also did a virtual tour. It looked like an upscale hotel. The walkways were furnished and it looked like a very nicely done place. I thought they had just anything that you could need like recreation rooms and rides to doctors.

Its been very good at Country Meadows of Frederick. My mother has adjusted very well there, we chose them because theyre very close to where she lived. Its a couple of miles from her home which makes it easy for us to visit her. We toured it, it was beautiful, its a beautiful location, and their facilities are very clean, very beautiful and well-maintained. The rooms are very nice, shes sharing a bath, but I feel she has a lot of room. She has some personal space, but they share the public areas. The community areas are well maintained. She has a lot going on, shes seeing a lot of people, shes got a lot of interaction, the food is wonderful, and I feel shes safe there and shes well taken care of. The staff talk to you, they explain things to you, mother has had a few falls, they call me, and they let me know shes okay. I feel like they have a lot of staff, they seemed to have a enough people walking around, and everybodys needs are met. When I'm there, they're gathering them up, they're doing things with them, Bingo, or they have a calendar they put out.

My mom is a resident at Country Meadows of Frederick. It is a convenient location for her, and the price is reasonable. Country Meadows of Frederick is very good as far as we can see. It is set up for a senior person's needs. They have a ward for Alzheimer's, and they have assisted living, which is where my mom is. They have another floor where people can take care of themselves. There are a lot of couples living there. My mom's apartment has a small refrigerator, a TV, a recliner, and a hospital bed. She has a shared bathroom too. They have bingo, they bring people in to play music, and they have some therapy. Their food tastes good. We didn't eat a full meal there, just soup, a sandwich, and dessert. Their soup is great.

I liked Country Meadows. They had a very nice, clean, well-managed assisted living place. It was reasonably priced at $6,000 instead of $9,000 a month. It’s not really big, but it was nice. The people were very nice. I just talked to the manager, but everybody seemed nice.

Country Meadows of Frederick was nice, and the staff was nice. My mother seemed contented there. She had a room and a bathroom. The room was nice, it had two windows, and she had a good view; everything was very clean. She was in the memory care unit called Connections. The food was fine and good -- nothing special but it seems to be OK. They had at least two girls that do the activities and work with people, and they took them out once in a while at Country Meadows. Everything was included; you didn’t have to pay extra for the adult diapers. You got table, activities, church services for them, and she had a salon to go to. They just had everything there, and it cost less than the other facility.

I visited Country Meadows. It seemed like a very nice place; the views were beautiful. They were very nice people. The food was delicious. They would take them on trips to the mall. I looked at their rooms. They were probably nicer, but it was a bigger facility, and the location was closer to where my sibling’s home was. They had a little kitchen for the residents to get a snack. It was very lovely and immaculate with lots of windows and lots of natural light.

We're so happy you stopped by to visit. As a newer community, our Frederick campus offers modern design amenities such as large windows which provide tons of natural light. And we might be biased, but we our incredibly proud of our co-workers who deliver great service in every area, including dining. Thank you for your note.

Country Meadows of Frederick was very beautiful, and it looked like they had a lot of activities for the seniors. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very small, and I was not impressed with them. The building was very clean and very nice. The food was excellent.

Country Meadows is clean. It's closely related to where we live. Their food is good. It's a nice place. The cleanliness is good. The room is nice, clean, and big. The staff is nice; they have a good work ethic.
Provider Response
Thank you for your kind words. Our team works very, very hard to make Country Meadows an attractive, engaging and safe place for every resident and their guests. And co-workers love to build friendships with residents. In fact, that is the number one reason co-workers report they are happy in their jobs. Again, thank you for your note, and for allowing us the privilege to care for your loved one.

Country Meadows of Frederick was actually my second choice. I like them a lot. It was a smaller environment, and I just like their whole atmosphere over there. It was very homey. They were very caring. They knew everyone's names. It wasn't like you were lost in a shuffle. At that time, they had ladies playing cards, doing crafts, crocheting, and things like that. Their dining room and the food were fine as well.

Caring.com was very helpful in suggesting the right places for what we were looking for. My friend, his son and I visited several of the places and chose Country Meadows. It is very nice location, with a great view, the staff and nurses are very helpful and friendly. My friend is very pleased with his large room and the way he is pampered. The food in the dining room is so good he has put on some weight. (country cooking) I'd highly recommend Country Meadows to anyone. The price is just a little more than some of the others, but it is well worth it for the nice clean place to live.

I liked Country Meadows of Frederick. It's a very nice place. The rooms are very clean, nice, and roomy; very accommodating. They have bingo and trips to the grocery store or to different locations. I like the place but it was a little bit more country side and secluded than I thought she would like.

I actually went to Country Meadows of Frederick and toured it, it's for my school. It's a continuing care facility. The facility was very nice and clean. Their rooms are all nice and warm. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. I ate a small meal there from their cafe and it was good. Also their price was reasonable.

Care giving at its best! I can't say enough about the Staff and Facility at Country Meadows Frederick. My mother has been there for about 2 years now and is treated like she is on an ocean cruise. I don't know how they manage it but all the staff appears to have a calling for their positions. They are so caring and treat the residents like family. I just received pictures of Mom playing with children at a local daycare center during her weekly visit there sponsored by CM. What a joyful picture of what my mom is up to while her children are busy with our own lives. I can't thank the Management and Staff enough, they are a blessing to our entire family.

This is a very clean facility. The staff seemed friendly and the building itself seemed very cosy. Rooms were moderately small and there was a small game room upstairs. Down the hallway, there is a kitchen down the hall from the entrance where residents can cook food (hopefully supervised). The food seemed ok and my grandmother said is was average but she had seen better. There were several cleaning members and staff members around, interacting with patients. There was an ugly carper throughout, although the furniture was nice. Everything in this place was scaled down, and it seemed very personal, although I think we are looking for a larger experience. There is a downstairs facility that they said was a facility for Alzheimer's and Dementia patients. The patients that we saw ranged from fully functional to very assisted living, and the staff seemed to accommodate everyone well. No one that we talked to was exceedingly unhappy with their home or living conditions.

Our mother is a resident at CM. She is very contented there and loves the CM family. She was recently in the hospital for a week and complained about the food, saying she wanted to return to CM where the food was always delicious. The CM staff has always been caring, attentive, and friendly. They will assist with whatever the need seems to be in a kind and loving manner. The facility is lovely and is kept very clean. They have a nice variety of activities and encourage the residents to participate for socialization. Visit CM and you'll soon realize that it's exactly the place you'd want for your loved one. They will be in good hands at CM and your mind can be at peace about their care--and their food!

This is a beautiful facility with wonderful surroundings. However, the daily food for residents is very marginal. It's served in a group process mode instead of restaurant style. Evening meals are poor quality. It's like eating in a school cafteria.. If your table is the last to be served, the food is luke warm at best. Special brunches for friends and family are incredible, but residents already paying $3,000-$6,000 a month have to pay more, which is shameful. Retired folks really look forward to their meals. It's a form of entertainment and a social event. Country Meadow is suppose to be an upscale facility. It's too bad the organization is being so cheap around the food issue.

the facility has a very family type feel to it. the food there is pretty good, for lunch we had steak and cheese sub with fries. this would be the perfect spot to curl up and die. but anyways my grandma and grandpa live here they dont seem to like it to much but its great there is alot of people around their age they can talk to as for if they were not there they would just be all alone but i would definitely recommend this to any eldry people that i may know

The level of service at Country Meadows seems to correspond directly with the level of independence of the resident. The independent residents have a beautiful dining/bar area with views and lovely carpet. The assisted living residents have nice dining rooms with salad bars and still carpet. The memory patients live in the basement which has hard floors and some indoor outdoor carpeting. I'm told that no matter where your memory-impaired family member lives, you have to stay on top of the staff to get little things taken care of. If that's true, CM is no exception. Having no experience elsewhere I can't say. However, the folks at CM do make an effort to help the residents keep their nails done and get their hair cut. When you call the nurses they are responsive and really do help. So my feeling are mixed. My loved one is often depressed and I feel a need to move them out at this point, but I am also not sure if the problem is with the facility or the disease itself. One thing to be aware of is that the brunch they serve the prospective client and family is a far cry from the meals served to residents on a regular basis! Still, I think if you are looking for independent or assisted living I think CM is a very good choice.
