I visited Brightview of Bel Air. They were very nice. I knew several people who have family members there or have had family members there and have passed already. I was very happy to hear everything from them that they were good. I didn't check the food or anything. The staff was very helpful and very knowledgeable. The upkeep was very nice. The size of the rooms was pretty good. I was surprised at how spacious they were. It's a beautiful area all around there. It would be pleasant to go for walks and things like that in that area.

My father is in Brightview of Bel Air, and we're very happy with it. He's in their assisted living, and it works well for him. The overall experience has been very good. The staff members are very helpful. I've tried the food, and it's good. My father is busy with activities all day long so he likes it. He does exercise, they have happy hour, and they have outings. The living atmosphere there is very good.

My sister is at Brightview Bel Air Assisted Living. It's a nice community. They seem to have a lot to offer. Plus, they have the memory care unit in addition to the regular assisted living. It's nice and clean. All of my interactions with all of the staff have been very positive. They've been very positive with my sister. We went to see her yesterday, and I'm encouraged that she's out doing things, which I was kind of worried about. They seem to be very attentive to the residents. She's only been there a little bit, but so far, so good. They seem to have a wide variety of activities. I think they have five to six activities every day. I know there's some things my sister just won't want to participate in, but she has been going to most of the things so far. They have a pub area downstairs where residents can sit down and watch TV. The pub area is nice, but I would have liked for them to have a separate TV viewing area, like a media room or something. But that's a small thing because my sister has her own TV. The thing that I like about them is the fact that, although they had a lot of people walking around with walkers and stuff like that, they also had a few people there that seemed like they were more on the same level of my sister. She doesn't use the walker, and she can get around on her own and stuff, so that's the one thing I kind of liked.

We went to Brightview of Bel Air, and we had a nice tour. It was a small and nice community with a nice feel to it. There's not as much community space as the other place we looked at. The only staff I met was the one who gave the tour. We looked at a room, but it was small for two people. The room had a small refrigerator and a sink. There were lots of trees, and it has a courtyard. That was all it had there. They just finished up an activity when we were there in their activity room. The dining area was very nice. It seemed like a restaurant. It was modern-looking and had a nice feel to it.

Brightview of Bel Air is quite luxurious with beautiful furnishings and surroundings. They have a garden area where residents could walk outside, yet it is still enclosed so that they aren't going to be wandering off the property. They also have activities that the residents could participate in. The dining area is also very nice. They also have a separate unit for the memory care patients, so that's good. That would have been good for my mother. It is a little more expensive; that's one reason I did not choose it. The person who gave me the tour was very helpful at explaining how they could meet my mother's needs.

Brightview was very nice and very clean. There weren't too many areas where the residents could get together socially; the spaces were more individualized. The rooms were typical, on the small side, and like hotel rooms. The staff seemed lovely, friendly, and nice.

The layout of Brightview of Bel Air looked good. It was updated and very nice inside. It had a couple of floors to it. I saw a couple of the rooms that they had available at the time; they were nice-looking too. They had lot of activities going on. When we were there, which was around Christmas, there was a pizza party going on for the employees and for the people there; that was very nice. My mother-in-law has been sick for awhile, but they have been contacting me at least once a year to find out what the status is with her, so I would say that's very good follow up.
