My mom stayed in Autumn Lake Healthcare at Overlea for rehab. She fell, and it was bad. I had to pull her out of there and have her admitted to the hospital because she was building fluid and acted like they weren't paying attention to it. I wouldn't recommend that to anybody. It was painful. The staff was very nice and helpful, but the building and the rooms were horrible. She didn't like the food at all. The front entrance was shut, but they took us through like a dungeon. The first floor was set up and had rooms, but nobody was in them. We got on this elevator, and the floor was all broken up. It was just scary. The laundry has holes in it. My mother said that the rehab was good, but the facility, the food, and the cleanliness were the main issues. The rehab staff, they knew what to do, she said. That's why she tried to stay a little longer because the rehab was good, but after, she fell. I didn't see a lot of activity. It wasn't posted where I could see that they had activity. They need to clean it up. The room where my mother was in looked very unprofessional. It just didn't look nice at all.

I live out of state and have or had an aunt at this facility. I can’t tell because when you call you are unable to get any information or get to the patient room. It started by transferring me to a nurses unit only to be told, she is not on this floor, so they transferred me to another floor, then another and another until I was back at the floor i started. No one could tell me where she was or is in the hospital and apparently they only have info for the patients on their floor. Management of this facility should be embarrassed at the customer service they provide. They are in serious need of a computer system that allows the end-user to a access the patient location. They need training on how to handle incoming calls and provide at least decent customer service. I still don’t know if my aunt is still there but am at the point that there is no confidence that i will get anything but extremely frustrated

Communication is terrible. they do not answer your calls. You get transferred around because they do not talk to one another to know what is going on. You get an email stating to contact them for questions, but cannot talk to anyone. Needs to be fixed. They are constantly apologizing.

Overlea Health is in a questionable neighborhood but once you get inside, it's OK. The staff was very caring and made sure my grandfather was clean, changed, etc. They did a far better job compared to his previous community, and we were happy with the care that we were getting. The food was average. Sadly, one small accident significantly increased his illness and subsequently, he passed.

My dad stayed at Overlea Health and Rehabilitation Center for 3 weeks. The amenities were OK. The caregiver was fine. I didn’t care too much for their pool, and I didn’t like the wooden floor, but the rooms were fine.
