My husband was at Angel Core Home of Care for respite. I think he was the most difficult person that they weren't expecting. He'd never been away from me. So, there were things that he did that were not in their best interests, but I like the location and I like the people. I also like the service that they provide and most of all, I like the cost. He was in the memory care there.

I went to Angel Core Home of Care. The common area was nice-sized and nicely furnished. The dining area was of pretty good size. The kitchen doesn't make much difference because she wouldn't be cooking. It had nice new flooring and the bedrooms were of good size for somebody who needs that and doesn't need all the dressers and bureaus. So, they were nice-sized and nicely furnished. It was a short tour just because it was a single house with a few bedrooms, but she was very forthcoming and very pleasant to work with and I sat there afterward and talked to her for 10 or 15 minutes about what I was looking for and what we needed. And, she said if I had any kind of problems or questions, to call her and she could give me some input on the three other places in the area.

I like the environment at Angel Core Home of Care. The place was nice. The people seemed to be happy. I like the place. I wanted to try to see if I could get my loved one in there. I like the space in the rooms. The rooms are very nice and spacious. The staff members were very friendly. The owner was nice, friendly, and very informative, too. I don't have any complaints. At both times I went, it looked like they had ordered food out. I thought the facility was nice. It felt like a home being in it because it was a house converted into an assisted living place. It had a nice homey feel to it. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. It looked like they had a nice living room space and a space where people could sit outside.

Angel Core Home of Care is just a small house, so they only had like six people in it. It is a house with six bedrooms. The person who gave us the tour, Angela, was very friendly and very informative. They had clients in the rooms, and the clients let us come in and see the room. They had a couch with a TV, but none of the clients were watching TV there. They were all in their rooms watching TV by themselves. I didn't see anybody interact. Their rooms were nice. I saw the menu, but I didn't try the food. It was a normal menu. The dining area was kind of like the common area, so the dining room and living room were pretty much open. They have activities like morning yoga and outings to go to the store or wherever. They have two different showers. If you want a small community, then this would be a good fit. The only drawback is that a lot of bedrooms are on the second floor. They have a chairlift, so people that need it can go up the steps. It is a clean facility. I think the one thing that they could improve on is the food choices. It just didn't seem like they gave a variety of choices to eat. They give snacks, too.

I liked the fact that Angel Core Home of Care is small and that they only have five residents. Each person would have their own room, so there won't be any shared rooms. All three meals a day are provided. They even have a refrigerator for little snacks and a TV in their rooms. So, I was quite impressed with that. It's been kept clean. The community room was spacious and they had two sets of dining room tables which would be appropriate for five people. There's a stairlift for those who live on the second level. There's a great big yard outside and a porch area. Everything is fenced-in, so no one can wander off. They go out two days a week to an adult daycare center where they would mingle with other people and do activities. You're not forced to go, but if they would like to go, it's available. The lady asked me what my brother liked at the moment, and I said that he was interested in bowling, and they were hoping to restart that program. The people I met there (the person who was cooking the meals and the owner) were very friendly and very knowledgeable about the questions that I would ask.

The Angel Core Home of Care was great. Everybody had their own room. It was perfect. It's Angela's home; it was her place. It was so much like home. They had individual rooms, which is great. Her spot was great. She has a nice big yard. For different holidays, she has it all nicely scheduled. I thought the place was awesome. She has a ramp. She has it where you can actually sit in a chair and then it takes you straight up the steps. So if you're scared that you might fall going up the steps, she has this automatic belt thing where it rides you up the steps. She has it laid out. I was impressed. If anybody is looking for something, that's a nice place. It's for assisted living because they got to schedule the food, and they clean up their rooms. It was for all. Everything is 5 like the cleanliness and the schedule. It's an open-door for the family to come and visit. The staff were helpful. They had activities. They were doing some activities with some seniors. The meals are breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have a schedule on the wall that shows what they have for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

We went to tour Angel Core Home of Care. We really liked that one. The staff was excellent. The place was nice, but they had stairs. After visiting, we chose the one that didn't have stairs just for safety purposes. I liked the caretaker. She was unbelievable. She was friendly and personable. I just instantly liked her. The room was very nice because my dad is a male, and I think she had two females there at the time, so he would be in his own room. The room was nice. It had a bed, a nightstand, a dresser, and a TV. It's close to the bathroom. They have a bathroom on the first floor.

I went to look at Angel Core Home Of Care. The location was close to my home. The lady was very knowledgeable, friendly, and open about how she ran her business. She offered additional services, like daycare or senior care during the day. I got to see her interact with the residents. It was a realistic interaction because one of the residents had just gotten up, so his room wasn't neat and straight, but that wasn't an issue, because he'd just gotten up. And she was giving out medication and things like that, so you could see that people were actually living and functioning. They go out for activities. They have like a lane where they could bowl, they play cards, and there was like special sporting events or stuff on TV that they come together for. The rooms were standard. The particular one that I was looking at was a room for a single person. It was very spacious and well-lit. It's at the front of the house, so there's a nice sun coming in on the room. It was neat and clean. It had the amenities that if a person moving in was just coming with their clothes, they had the amenities that they would need: a nightstand, light, and TV. It has cable access for the residents as well.
