My friend is at Pine Point Center. It's a nice nursing home. I think the staff members are experienced and nice. Sometimes, they're a little bit understaffed. As far as nursing homes go, I think her space is spacious and she's got a great view out of her windows. They have a nice common room. They have activities, but she doesn't do any of them. She stays in her bed. They have a nice patio in the shade where you can overlook the marsh.

This place is horrible. My uncle with stage 4 cancer has been there July 2024. His bed doesn’t work right and they refused to get him a new one. He was never given a shower for 3 weeks. He asked for help to use the commode and they left him sitting there for an hour. It took two CNA’s to figure out how to do a finger prick for an INR reading and then they used the wrong strips. He has a drain in his lung that fills up with fluid and they have been doing it wrong which has caused them to not get fluid out, so he was sent as an outpatient to get it taken care of and once he came back his lung has once again filled up ( they had someone come do an X-ray,) and it’s 50% full so he struggles to breath and nothing has been done because the Dr, PA and NP take the same day off on Wednesdays. This place has no organization or care for the patients at all. What a disgrace! Absolutely horrible !

The Pine Point Center provided my Mom the utmost quality of highly skilled, compassionate care for many months. The staff worked well together as a cohesive team that openly promoted an environment of friendliness, expertise, and attention to their residents. Family interactions with the medical and nursing staff were open, honest, bi-directional and informative. Social Services and nursing staff were attentive to not only the resident’s wellness but also to that of the family caregiver members. CNAs and nurses, as well as dietary and environmental services personnel, responded quickly and effectively to the residents’ requests. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the residents’ privacy is always respected to the fullest extent. My Mom constantly commented “It’s so quiet and peaceful here, and everyone is so nice.” I would definitely consider residing here for my own needs should it become necessary.

I am only commenting on the rehab care. My husband was admitted for rehab after a knee replacement at the VA. Arrangements were made in advance by VA social worker including his list of required meds and schedule. He was never provided his supper or required meds. After 6 hours, I picked him up at 8 pm and took him home. Never experienced the PT, but the medical type care is very inadequate.

Overall I would say my Grandmother's quality of life there was quite good. Not only was the staff friendly, there was always someone available if necessary. The residents were very friendly as well. It was a nice facility and very upbeat.

I recently visited this facility. This is a really well kept facility that is very clean inside and outside. The staff are very helpful and friendly and are very atentitive to the patients needs and or wants. The facility has all of the needed amenities and also has all of the up to date amenities. I would feel safe and comfortable with having one of my loved ones residing in this facility. The staff are very comforting and when I spoke to them about how they felt as caregivers to the patients, most of them told me they treat the patients as if they were one of their loved ones they were caring for and to me that meant a lot because how your loved ones are treated in these type of places is very important because nobody wants to leave their loved ones in a place they are uncomfortable in or that may treat them badly.
