I toured this center with my mom a month or so ago for longterm nursing care for my dad. It was small, dark, and a the rooms were tiny. However, the people seemed nice, and compared to other nursing homes we'd visited, it was relatively clean. A couple weeks ago my mom brought my dad over for an evaluation and a tour. He was very upset to be looking at a nursing home, and as a result became angry. However, the director, Robin, and the staff assured my mom they could handle his anger and use medications if necessary. For the past week, my family has been preparing for his admission into the center. We spent hundreds of dollars on new clothing, bedding, shoes, etc- everything he needed. We were distraught and my mom was a wreck. It was an extremely difficult time for us. Yesterday, my mom drove my dad around to all of his favorite places and we ate dinner together for, what we thought, would be our last time as a family at home. Today he was supposed to be admitted, but when we got there he quickly became agitated. However, this is what we had warned them about, and this is what we were assured could be handled. Wrong. The director and staff quickly backpedaled and began saying they couldn't take him after all, and he wasn't able to stay. It was horrible. Absolutely, in every way, disgusting and awful. What we once thought were kind and caring people became cowardly, dishonest, heartless staff members. They are CLEARLY undertrained and it makes me question the level of care they are giving to other members in their facility. It should be illegal to turn somebody away at the door after making so many promises. Evergreen, I urge you to take a look at your institution and make some changes. You are disgusting and I would not put a cockroach in your care. Everyone reading this, I urge you to STAY AWAY. It may appear (somewhat) nice, but after what I witnessed today, I can assure you, you would be better off looking elsewhere.

Very disgusted with this place. My mom has been there for @ 2 weeks for rehab. So far we have been there at least 5 times when my mom hadn't been changed & the whole room reeked of piss. This was not one urination, this was the whole night. There was also 1 time where the whole room smelled of feces. I'm not saying all the nurses are bad , the one that is taking care of my mother at night is a lazy slob. She told the morning staff that she took care of my mom right before they came in which was obviously a lie. Another lovely trip to see her in the early morning she was 1/2 out of the bed, no covers, in her clothes from the day before. .This is with myself & my other 2 siblings checking in on her at least 2-3 times a day every day, can you imagine someone who has no family checking on them!! I can't give 0 stars or I would. Please , if you are looking for a place for your loved one shop around, But I wouldn't recommend you to shop here!!

I had a tour of this facility when I applied for a job there a couple of years ago. I liked the appearance of the facility as I drove into the parking lot, that was pretty crowded, for my interview. The building was clean enough but had that musty smell that older buildings do. The housekeepers were busy bustling around so I know it wasnt from lack of cleaning, just an old building. The rooms were small there but neat and tidy. The patients seemed to be very happy there. They were playing Bingo in the activity room when I was there. The CNAS and med tech were very friendly but the nurses, however, were not. I was dissapointed with this interview, even though I liked the facility. I basically gave myself a tour while the nurses just sat behind the desk and gossiped. I was not even welcomed by the nursing staff. I sat in front of the nurses station, waiting for the D.O.N. I wasnt even taken into a more private place to wait for the interview. The interview was rather brief, the D.O.N. Did not impress me or give me that warm feeling. I decided that this was not the place for me.

I went on a tour of this assisted living facility to see how the quality of life was for the residents. This is a fairly well kept facility that has friendly staff that treated the residents as if they were their own family members. Everything is done on a schedule such as meals and different entertainment events that the residents can choose to be a part of such as games. The rooms are kept clean and fresh smelling. The staff are very alert and assist the residents with their every possible need and they do not make the residents wait for a long amount of time before they receive assistance and they are not mean or rude to the residents. This facility is a facility I would consider placing one of my elderly family members in because I wouldn't have to worry about their personal well being. There are so many facilities that are not kept clean and are not so nice to the residents but I can happily say this is not one of those places. The exterior of the facility is well kept and seems inviting and friendly as well.
