My dad moved into Fryeberg Care center yesterday. It's nice, clean, the people were very friendly, very helpful, and we felt it was safe and comfortable there. It was the best place for him, and it was only 12 miles from my home. There's activities all day long, they have Bingo, movies and popcorn, ice cream cones, exercise programs, and gospel hours. He's happy with the food. It's not the Ritz, but it's lovely and clean.

I toured Fryeburg Health Care Center. It was very warm and welcoming, everything looked clean, and it was definitely a pleasant community. The rooms were clean and looked comfortable. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

The first thing that I noticed when entering this facility were well kept grounds and many active older people. I was surprised at the number of staff on hand. At first it seemed a little excessive. After being there for a while, I noticed that the staff were in almost constant motion (though not in a chaotic way at all) and seemed to be truly happy at work. One older gentleman informed me that the food was a lot better than he had expected. Everyone that we spoke to (inclusive of the nurse that gave us a tour) was polite and we were treated like guests in a home instead of potential clients... I liked that.Overall I would not rate it higher because of the harsh winter climate and an awful choice in paint colours.

When my family first told me they were sending my grandparents to live in an assisted living center I was mortified. I could not imagine my sweet grandparents be subjected to, what I thought was, this horrible type of lifestyle. I have heard stories almost all my life about how horrible these places are to their clients. This is NOT the case in Fryeburg. I have never met people who were so loving and considerate of the people living in their facility. They really do their best to make each client feel like they are at home. The day before my grandfather passed was extemely stressful on me, but the staff there made me feel so welcomed and loved that it was like he was at home with all his extended family around. I know that when he passed he was surrounded by people who cared about him. I could not possibly say enough thanks to the staff there that has gone above and beyond for my family. God bless you all. My grandmother is still there and is treated like a queen!
