When my mother was in the hospital the staff their told us that she will likely need nursing home placement. I was really skeptical and nervous about that but they provided a list of nursing homes in the area and said to go to nursing home compare on the medicare website to help me with my decision. I came across this facility and noticed that it had a 4 star rating. So, I called the facility and spoke with their staff. I told them about my concerns and they were very helpful and understanding. They went through their covid policies with us and assured us that she will be taken care of. It has almost been a year since she was admitted there but we have had no complaints and neither has my mother. I have gotten to see her almost everyday and she always tells me that she loves it there and she speaks very highly of the staff.

My sister is currently there with a major hip fracture. Everything is ok during the week but the weekends are terrible. The rehab did not have ANY pain medicine for her from Friday until Monday. The nurse said the pharmacy did not deliver it. I am a retired nurse and I know that the facility should have checked the pill count before the weekend so meds would be available. I am going to have her moved to another facility!!!!

My mother who is 93 stayed at this facility for a few months. i could not wait to get her out. The first night she was there someone stole all robe and PJ's from her closet. We bought more and a few weeks later those were also stolen. My mother is nonverbal due to a stroke, when she would call for a nurse it sometimes felt like forever before some one would show up. the thing she hated most, bath time. About 5:30-6am she was taken into the bathroom down the hall with a few other ladies. They were then striped and sat on a bench and hosed, yes hosed down. I showed up a 6 one mourning because my mom didnt want to take a bath anymore. A woman came into the bathroom with black rubber boots on and had a line of elderly naked women sitting next to each other being "bathed" with a hose. I told them I would bath my mother from now on. I bathed her before bed and they could let her sleep. I will never go back to this place.

The Woodleigh of Baton Rouge (formerly Regency Place) looked clean. They rebuilt it, so it's modern and clean. The folks were nice. It's a nursing home and pretty depressing looking, but other than that it seemed OK. They had the meals and transportation to the doctors. The staff that we met was very friendly and helpful and took us around without any question about it.
