I visited this facility

We visited Inspirations of Mount Washington which was very nice. The price is reasonable, and the facility was very clean and didn't smell. The staff was very friendly, they didn't know we were coming because we just popped in. We talked to some of the residents there, it seemed like a happy place to be at. They're affordable but they offered a lot of services and you could bring your pet. They had like an apartment there, each person had their own space and you could bring your own furniture. Whenever someone moved out, they replaced the carpeting, and repaint it, so everything is clean, new, and fresh when you come in. And the residents got to sit in the dining room with menus and order what they want to eat. They had a therapy place there for those who need therapy. The thing I liked about it was when your insurance finishes paying for your therapy, they were willing to pay for it out of pocket, and that was an option. A lot of other places, when your insurance is down they say that's pretty much all they can do for you. You bring your own furniture, but it had a little living room area, it had a shower, it had a toilet that had like rails around it where you can lift yourself better for those who can't get around very well. They had the pull cords all over the place to where if you fell or something there was help immediately available. They come in every day and help you get your medicines, help you get dressed, help you with the shower. If even if the patient was incontinent, they would help you with that. Their thing is you had to be somewhat mobile, whether it be on a cane, a walker, or a wheelchair, you just had to be able to be a one-person assist. The room had a microwave and a refrigerator in there, there was no stove. And also the family could spend the night there because it was her own apartment. The fee for it was $5500 a month but it included everything, including all the activities. The only thing it did not include was therapy or the beauty shop. They had a beauty shop there if you want to get your hair done and they would do manicures. But just overall, it looked like a hotel when you walked in and then each person had their own separate little apartment. They come in and clean your apartment for you a couple of times a week and they do your laundry for you. They have menus, and if you didn't like what was on the menu, then they had items they served every day. But they had specials on the menu every day. If your family member wanted to come and have lunch with you, you pay $5 and you could eat lunch with them. If you want to have a little slumber party with your mom, you could do that. If you're under palliative care, which our mom is for pain management, they could come in and continue their palliative care. If mom took a terrible turn for the worse and we needed hospice, we could also do her hospice care there in the room. But let's say you need more care like where you are bedridden but you're not considered end of life, then you would have to move. They also had a recreational area and somewhat of a party room, so let's say we wanted to have mom a birthday party there, the whole family could come there. You just reserve it, you tell them in advance. And it was a pretty big space too, you could bring pizzas, or if you wanted it catered or whatever, you have the space right there to have a family gathering. And I like that they had movie night with popcorn for the residents and it just didn't feel real nursing home. The person who gave the tour was Debbie. She was very kind and compassionate, all the residents spoke to her as we walked past. The facility was very clean and looked brand-new. It was very wide and open, where people could navigate very well with wheelchairs, walkers, and scooters, and there was plenty of room for people to move around.

I visited this facility

Both my brother and myself liked Inspirations of Mount Washington. It's clean and the staff seemed friendly and nice. They talked to my mother and treated her with respect. They did real well. The place looked nice and pleasant. They have games like bingo, a walking trail, and a gated area where people in memory care can get outside and walk in the garden. They also offer outings to the communities. We looked at a studio and it was large, spacious, and clean.

I visited this facility

It was very nice, and we liked it. It was just a little too far from where I live. The facilities were very nice. The rooms were nice and very roomy; they had huge rooms.

I visited this facility

I looked here and what stood out about the place is it’s cleanliness and neatness. There was no odor. The lady who took me on a tour was a wonderful person. The apartment that I looked at was roomy. It had a balcony that you can sit out and enjoy the outdoors. It was very neat, clean, and freshly painted. The carpet was clean. It is a lovely place to live.

I visited this facility

It is a good, clean, and neat community. It was closer to my home, but my mother’s doctor didn’t go there. In Kentucky, they don’t have nurses. I think that having a nurse with my mother is better. I think they did well with the patients. They helped with bathing, showers, and clothing and did their laundry. They took good care of them.

I visited this facility

It was very nice, very accommodating, and very inviting. Even the residents were very sweet. They all came up and talked to my father. It was a nice experience. We did not eat there, but we saw what residents were eating, looked at the menu, and thought the food looked nice. I think we talked to the chef there. The rooms were nice. It was definitely clean, neat, orderly, and bright.

I visited this facility

They were pretty good too, but not as good as the other facility. It was a little bit harder to navigate. The lighting was not very good there. It didn't seem there's light in that facility. Their staff was friendly and helpful, but not quite as good as the other place. Also it was too far out in the country for my mother. The facility was clean, but it was a little bit older. Also, it wasn't as well designed as far as navigating.

I visited this facility

It was lovely. The people we met were very nice, and they explained a lot to us, but they did not have the space that the facility my parents are in now has. It is also further away from me. It seemed like a very nice place.

They were very quick in responding to my inquiry so went out there that day and we met with them and toured the facility. It was clean and the landscape was kept of, and everybody was nice. My favorite thing was that it was all one floor. Dad has a problem walking so there is no chance that he could wander upstairs or that kind of thing. The staff were very friendly and the residents there looked happy. We were happy with it overall. Well, dad is not happy with anything ever but I would be happy and comfortable leaving dad in their care.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My grandmother was here for several months and she was very well taken care of. Toward the end she was very difficult to care for but they never complained. We are a large family and the staff never made us feel as if we were in there way. I believe they took care of my grandmother was if she was there family. When we had prayer they joined us, when we cried, they cried and when we sang songs they were right there. The location was very clean, it did not have the smell that other places have (you know the further back you go in the building the worst it smells). I wish we had found this place when my other grandmother needed an assisted living location, because we had her in several places that after a week, we moved her! Tour the location, look at the faces of everyone, you will see what I am talking about.
