Wesley Manor has taken good care of both of my parents. My parents started out in the patio homes and were pretty independent. The home was set up well with, plenty of room! My mother was taken care of until passing with dementia. The nurses and aids really went the extra mile and continue to do so for my dad, who is now in assisted living. The community is very kind and friendly! I can't tell you just how hard it is to be 100s miles away, but feel ok knowing your loved one is getting good care and is happy! These people really care! That is the bottom line!

My mom moved into Wesley Manor last week. It has been good, so far. The people there are really friendly. The place is nice. It's not a humongous facility. They only have around 25 rooms, but it has a clean and homey feeling. The facility seems quite clean. It smells fine. They come in several times a day to take the trash out and make sure everything is clean. She has her own room and her own furniture. They assist her with all her needs and all of her medicine. They take care of the refills for her medicine, and they take care of the rest of her personal needs. They do have updated care. They have outside nurses that come in and check on her once a week to make sure she's OK. Some of the staff have been there for 20+ years. They have activities for them to do. They do morning warm ups. She had her hair fixed and nails done. They have arts and crafts. The food is really good, and my mother seems to like it. The few times I've been there while she was eating her food, the food selection seemed to be really good. They had a main course, salads, and drinks. They had told me that if they served any meal that she absolutely will not eat, then they can go back in there and whip up something that she will eat. So far, she's been doing really well.

We visited Wesley Manor and my mother likes it. We went to see their assisted living and it was very, very good. The place was very neat, clean, and tidy. The people living there were very sweet and seemed happy. They had facilities where they can come in and kind of go out on their own using their wheelchairs. All the people that we met were very, very friendly. The staff person that we met with was very helpful in din describing what they would do for my mother and everything. There was a person that greeted us at the desk at the front door, she was kind and explained to us different things before our guide came forward. Everyone was really helpful and any question I had, they answered. They took us to the cafeteria, where my mother would eat, and it smelled delicious. They have a really good cafeteria-type situation. We went by a room where they had some activities going on, and there was a gentleman at the door waiting to go in. He introduced himself and my husband did too, and he said, "Well, come on over. We enjoy having you." It looked like they were doing puzzles. The room we saw was nice. It was the deluxe private, it's set up like a guest room right now but they said, if we are interested in that, we can have that one. It has a large bathroom and a large shower that people could get in and out of easily. And then they had a bed and a couple of chairs and a TV, a huge closet and a chest of drawers. So it was very ample. The overall staff was wonderful, even the cafeteria workers greeted us. It's an older facility but it's very, very clean and the grounds were beautiful with a lot of walkways.

President/CEO is a "hands on" administrator who sets the example for a caring, loving staff who talk to residents and patients by name. I am grateful to be a resident.

I thank the Lord daily for directing my husband and me to Wesley Manor in 2005. I live in a beautiful patio home (with all appliances furnished). When the time comes, I'll either pass to my Heavenly Home or move to a "more care facility". I'm guaranteed care as long as I live. Wesley Manor has a beautiful campus and loving and caring staff! I have an emergency pendant that brings help to me at the touch of a button. Come take a tour!

The distance of Wesley Manor from our home was not convenient, otherwise, we would have chosen it for my sister. It was clean and well-maintained. Everyone I met was very helpful. We saw a room, it's very comfortable, clean, and neat. They had an open area in the center of the building with a courtyard.

We purchased our patio home at Wesley Manor after a lengthy search. There was a waiting list but the wait was worth it for us. Their terms of purchase are affordable for those who may be downsizing, and ample time is allotted to sell one’s existing home. Improvements can be made prior to moving in. They were very easy to work with throughout the purchase process. The community is friendly. The feeling is that of a pleasant neighborhood of homes whose residents all share some commonalities. The staff is available and interested in residents’ comfort and satisfaction. They are dog-friendly and do not firmly restrict for size as long as your dog(s) or other pets are well behaved and safe, always leashed when outside, and vaccinated. Dog waste disposal stations are provided with bags. The grounds are lovely and my husband and I enjoy long walks here. It is a very secure and quiet environment. Regular activities are scheduled. Transportation is available.

Wesley Manor is all one building, but they have one wing for memory care. The staff there has longevity; they have one person that has been there for over 25 years. When we visited they were actually doing activity time. We actually got to watch a little bit of activity time with them. It was a volunteer group that came in to do activities with the people in the nursing home. It wasn't the staff doing the activity, but it was still nice. They showed us a couple of vacant rooms. They were average and they looked more like converted hospital rooms.

Wesley Manor is an older home, but it is nice. I like the personal care they add at certain things to their price that I could have done for Mom. It was OK. I spoke with the director. He was very nice and knowledgeable. The rooms were small, though.

My mother is in Wesley Manor. It's a beautiful, neat, clean, and friendly place. The staff was very courteous, very polite, very knowledgeable, and very helpful. They showed us some rooms and how some of the people had their rooms set up. They had a beauty shop, an ice cream shop, and a dining room. She's very happy to live there. They have activities. I would recommend it.

I live in the assisted living section, and I am more than satisfied with the staff and aides. This place really "feels like home". Everyone is so friendly. I know of no one that has ever left here except in death. We sit on about 62 acres and the grounds are beautiful. Again, I love it here and this is now my home for life!

I have lived in the Hoskinson House Assisted Living facility for 3 months. It is 6:00 a.m. as I write. My aide has just helped me put on my clothes and compression wraps. We have this to a very efficient level. Aides make sure I have water and ice, and that bodily outputs are disposed correctly. I'll head to the dining room for the first of 3 delicious meals.

My mother and father have been residents for 4 years. My father passed this past January and the staff was very helpful and caring during that time. My parents have received excellent care and the staff for the most part treats residents and their family as one of their own. We are grateful for the excellent care!

Living at Wesley Manor in assisted living has been a wonderful experience for my Mom & Dad. The residents and staff have made them feel welcome, like a part of the "family." The staff is kind, friendly and helpful, greeting everyone with a smile and kind words. They do an excellent job caring for the residents and providing three nutritious meals each day. Wesley Manor does an amazing job and I'm so thankful my parents are respected and cared for by dedicated caregivers. Wesley Manor is the best!

We really like Wesley Manor, and my mother loves it there. They’ve got lots of programs, activities, and things, and she is very happy there. The rooms are a good size. My mom is in just a regular room -- it is not deluxe or anything -- but it is a very decent size and very clean. They just have a lot going on for the seniors. They’ve got crafts, they do Bingo and trail walking, and they just have them busy all the time. One thing that we really like about Wesley Manor is they have a chapel, and they have a Catholic mass every Sunday. My mom is Catholic, and that is one thing that she really likes. When we took the tour, the director of marketing was very down-to-earth, and he answered all the questions we had; we just had a wonderful time, and we felt comfortable there. We did visit two others, and we liked them, but there was something about Wesley Manor that just really clicked with us, and my mom was very comfortable there too; that is why we chose it.

I didn't like Wesley Manor. The apartments were too small. It looked and smelled like a nursing home. They had a kitchen, card games, and a TV in a big room. I was told that they had activities. The staff was very nice. There could be bigger and nicer apartments. They didn't even have refrigerators in them. The residents share refrigerators out in the hallway.

My mother-in-law has been in Wesley Manor for two months now. It is close to our home and easily accessable for the family to get to whenever my mother-in-law needs us. Everything is good. She likes it. Everybody likes it. The people are nice. They have all kinds of activities going on over there. I know they keep them fairly busy. They have a chapel, a lawn, and an atrium. They have everything out there.

We found a place, and we’re all ready to go. We were there during lunch and it smelled really good. The rooms were very nice, clean, and roomy. The facility was good and had a very nice family room type area for visitors and a very nice non-denominational chapel with services every Sunday, which was really a selling point for my mom. The people that showed us around were very helpful and gave us a very nice tour. The grounds were a little messy, but other than that it was beautiful.

I made an appointment with Wesley manor, but when I got there nobody was available. It’s very secure. When we got in, it looked like all the residents were in one room, lined up, and I didn’t get to see anything. I liked the price, they offered extensive care for a reasonable price.

Don't know what happened with this tour, but sounds like there may have been a mix up. We strive to coordinate all tours with our staff in advance. The residents may have been doing a group activity or getting ready for a meal when you were here. Glad to reschedule your tour, if you wish. You can reach Cliff Whalin directly at 502-400-3228.

Wesley Manor seem like a very pleasant place, the facility itself is beautiful, nicely laid out, and they have a very pleasant courtyard. It’s a small facility, they have 40 people or so. You can go from assisted-living, to rehab, and memory care without leaving home. The people who lived there has first-priority when there’s an opening.

I put my mom into Wesley Manor. The food is wonderful. It is one of the first place that I have seen where they make sure that the food is hot for their patients. Another thing that I’ve noticed about them that I like is that they don’t let their patients lay in their beds. They want them up and moving to prevent bedsores, so they have many activities. The rooms are of a nice size, especially on the side where my mother is living. You have to pay for the TV services yourself, which I don’t like, but my mother is at the point where she doesn’t watch TV in the room anyway. They do have a TV outside that everyone can watch. They do get short-staffed sometimes, but I think it is one of the best, as far as dementia care goes.
Provider Response
Thanks so much for your kind remarks! Alzheimer's/dementia care is what we do best and we're always striving to improve. It is an honor to care for your mom and so many others. We're actually in process of upgrading out TV system, so that will be a nice amenity for residents as well.
