My uncle just moved to Sunrise of Louisville. I've never come and caught him in his room. He's always been out in the common area when they're involved in games and they get him active in it. There's somebody pretty much helping him and right with him almost all the time. He is in memory care and he gets more personal care there. So far, it's been a much better place than where he came from. The staff is friendly and helpful. They're pretty much Johnny on the spot. Their food has been excellent, too.

Sunrise of Louisville is the one that I'm interested in. It was beautiful and it was clean. The living area was beautiful and spacious, and there was a nice area for family get-togethers if we ever wanted to do that. All the staff members were nice. I was notified of special occasions and special activities, entertainment, and areas where my mom could do what she wanted. I don't have any bad words to say about it. The staff who gave me the tour was nice, very informative, very patient, and very knowledgeable.

We went to Sunrise of Louisville. The facility was awesome. I would want to live there when I retire. The only thing that kept us from choosing them is that their memory care is on the third floor. One of the things my mother-in-law wanted was a nice place to go out like a nice green space courtyard area to go out. They have lovely balconies, but that's not what she wanted. They had everything. The facility was magnificent. But as a memory care patient, I would not want to be on the third floor. My mother-in-law is wheelchair-bound, and I can't imagine trying to get them off the third floor in an emergency situation, and that was the only reason why we did not pick them.

Sunrise of Louisville was beautiful. It was very well done and very clean. The staff has a lot of years of experience in senior living. They were very knowledgeable and very friendly. They have a full schedule of events. They have a lot of different club activities. And they're doing it for their schedule of events that met a lot of needs. They have crafts, bridge, and theater. So there was a very wide range of activities.

We did a tour of Sunrise of Louisville. It's a beautiful facility. It's not brand new, but it's well maintained. There were people that lived there out in the living area. They had coffee for people that came in and a place to sit and wait. It just felt like going into someone's home (a very big home); it felt really welcoming. It didn't have any bad smells or strong deodorants to try and hide bad smells. As we went through it, the people that lived there looked like they were doing OK. It didn't seem to be like a herd of people plopped down in a spot, which is how it was in some other places. I do love that once someone's there, they can stay there until they die. They wouldn't have to transfer to a nursing home from assisted living. I think that's a wonderful gift to offer the person staying there and their families. The salesperson was very helpful. We had to look at another facility for behavior issues; he had to go to before he could go to Sunrise. She was helpful in getting us connected with them, and in following up and checking in on how my dad's been doing. They have this neat, kind of like the bathtub, where people could go and actually take a bath if they wanted to. The apartments were fine. Nothing fancy, but they were very nice. Looking at an assisted living versus a nursing home when you're looking for memory care, is a much better option for quality of care and the quality of the facility and much cheaper

We really, really liked Sunrise of Louisville, but they don't offer skilled nursing care. We looked at the memory care/Alzheimer's unit and it was an excellent tour. The staff was more than excellent. The facility was very nice, very well kept, and very clean. It looked wonderful. The rooms that we toured were exceptional. I would've moved in in a heartbeat, myself.

Sunrise of Louisville was where my mom and I are comfortable with her going. The staff was great, they're pleasant but not all over the place. You can find staff all the time, but it wasn't as if they look like they're hovering. When go in the secretary greets you warmly. I saw one resident with a dog, and the residents were going around interacting. Their bistro is really cool because you can go by and get a snack any time of the day. They were very open about working with the families like if someone had grandchildren that want to stay over they could. They have a cooking area where you can cook and interact with the families or some of the other residents. It's in a good location and they have multiple room options, from a small 1-bedroom to a very large 2-bedroom. The price-point of the rooms reflect the space. This is the place I would have chosen for my mom. I have been by this place 3 times and saw the same thing each time. Their memory care unit is on the 3rd floor, and assisted living on the 2nd and 1st floor. I dind't see any formal activity except residents interacting. Their dining area looked nice, it was like a restaurant.

We went to Sunrise of Louisville. It's a 3-story building, and we wanted dad to be on the first floor. The staff was caring, very serious, but compassionate. The apartments were nicer than the others, we liked the ones we saw, and they were nicely laid-out even though they're studios. They have a separate area for living and sleeping, because the bathroom is between them, and we really liked that. They felt my dad was geared to the point of hospice, and we didn't want to take him there at that level. It had a balcony off of the dining area which was nice.

I'm very pleased with Sunrise of Louisville. It's personal care all the way up to nursing home and memory care. I'm very pleased with it. The people are very good. Every time I've been there, when Mom calls on her button, they're always there within two minutes. It's much better than the place she came from. The atmosphere is cheerful. The food is pretty good, better than where she was before. I have no complaints. Her room is nice. There are a lot of activities. Our church comes over for communion once a week. They try to get her involved more.

We like that Sunrise of Louisville is organized, clean, and doesn't smell of urine. The staff is professional. I was mostly concerned about safety, and they have 24-hour coverage supervision. It's locked in so my dad can't go anywhere and won't get himself in trouble again. They have activities for the residents. He's safe, somebody is watching his medications, and he's being cared for. For what they're providing, I feel it's a good value.

My visit with Sunrise of Louisville was excellent. The atmosphere was wonderful, and we liked it immensely. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. The rooms were OK, and the dining area looked nice. It looked like there were a lot of activities. They had a live-in dog, walking trails, TV viewing room, and a small gym or exercise room.

Sunrise is a nice facility, with modern and clean living spaces but the caretaking is poor. There is a lot of turnover, and staff aren't adequately trained to care for residents with Alzheimer's. I can only speak of the memory care unit, not the other floors for residents only in need of minor assistance. If your loved one needs regular help with showering, incontinence, or eating, this place can't handle that. They don't have enough properly trained staff, despite paying huge amounts of money for care. And they will push sedative medications without your permission, rather than work on building rapport and techniques to redirect residents who are confused or frustrated. They don't provide the activities or cognitive therapies promised on their website or when you first meet with the management. Be ware of the used salesman run around whenever you question what you're paying for.

Sunrise of Louisville is awesome, wonderful, and caring. My friend is thriving. They meet the needs of a home, not an institution. They take a personal interest in their residents and their families or caregivers. It?s like you have turned your loved ones over to a larger family. I have not found any fault with them whatsoever. My friend has been accepted, and it couldn't be a better fit.

Sunrise of Louisville was extraordinary, and this would be the ideal place. For someone like my father -- who has Lewy Body Dementia -- and from what I have read on the internet, it is better to make it more like a home setting, and I saw that in Sunrise. They have an area where you can go and sit with your family and your family can take care of the food; that to us was ideal. It doesn’t have the institutional setting that most of them have.

I was very impressed with Sunrise of Louisville and its apartments, except for some very small ones. I was not so impressed with the fact that they didn't have a lot of nurse's assistants. They had two or three nurses and a bunch of caregivers, but no CNAs. The food was very good.

We visited Sunrise of Louisville. They were very accommodating and it was beautiful inside. It was very nice. We had a great tour. The only thing negative about Sunrise was it was 45 minutes from my mom's home. Everything was good.

Sunrise was excellent. It was far and above any place else we visited on our option list, but it was too expensive for my mother-in-law. That was the only reason why we didn't choose it, but we were very impressed with them. It was clean and very welcoming. The furnishings were nice. The rooms were very well appointed.

I first looked at Sunrise, and I liked it very much. I in fact did opt for that one first. I called my daughter off of any further proceedings after I saw the other facility. The rooms were nice and much more than adequate. The staff is very friendly; in fact, I had two ladies who came to visit and interviewed me in my home after I’d seen the place. It was very clean. I was satisfied with the first one that I saw, and it was only because of a quieter location that I took the second one. Otherwise, I would rate both the same, very good

Sunrise of Louisville was a really nice two-story facility. Their rooms were nice. They had a lot of activities. I liked that it was a security area and they had firewalls. I liked it also that they had a chef. However, it was a little more expensive and little too far from where I lived.
