My father-in-law has moved into Highgrove at Tates Creek. He's in memory care. It's been great so far. We really enjoy it. No complaints on our end. We were hoping he'd be in the assisted living, but he just needs a higher level of care. The assisted living area is beautiful. The entrance is very welcoming. In the memory care, his room is a little bit smaller, but he's got enough room for maneuvering in his wheelchair. It's got all the amenities. He has a mini-fridge and a little kitchenette area, and the bathroom is nice. The staff has been nothing but helpful for any questions we have, or any help we've needed while he's been there. They have arts and crafts time where they can do painting. They also have coloring books and puzzles and things of that sort. He has enjoyed all the meals he's gotten. No complaints on our end. We've actually eaten with them and it was pretty good. It's not like gourmet food, but for an assisted living place it's pretty good. We've got four kids and they offered all my kids free meals while we were there visiting. They've been great. They've been supportive in the transition because he went from assisted living into the memory care, so that was a pretty big adjustment for him. He seems to be doing pretty good with it. They've been nothing but helpful. I know memory care is expensive. It pretty much doubled in price from assisted living to that, so it was a bit of a shock.

Lisa at Memory Care went out of her way to make sure my father in law had the best care. She took the time to contact us when needed. We visited my father often and I was never disappointed at the care given at Highgrove. My father in law was happy and content at his home in memory care. After his passing, Lisa reached out with her condolences. If you need care for a loved one , this is a safe , clean and happy place to be. I highly recommend Highgrove . The staff very friendly, loving and kind. The activities that my father in law enjoyed : group exercise, movie time, cookie afternoons, veteran and therapy dog visit and group holiday dinners with the family . We were apologetic the hair cutting service offered . My father in law enjoyed the pool table and work out room also. Thank you Highgrove for all you do!

The team at HighGrove go out of their way to see that my needs are met! They are professional and always greet you with a smile and am on a first name basis with them! The apartments are roomy and accommodating to wheelchair access! I would recommend this facility to anyone who’s thinking about moving to an assisted living community!

We've chosen the Highgrove at Tates Creek for my sister. We just signed the papers yesterday. I liked it a lot. Everything was clean, the people were nice, and it was closer to us than some of the others. It was active. The rooms were nice and clean and accessible. I'm impressed with everybody. Everybody's very congenial, everybody's nice. They had the dining room. They're spacious, I thought it was a little bit dark, but they said they were going to take out the whole end of the area and put glass. Well, they have all the amenities that I needed. She has access to the beauty shop and, you know, just all the things that anyone with memory care would need and assist with. I thought they had everything.

I am going to try to move into Highgrove at Tates Creek. What drew me to it was the fact that I could have an independent housing experience, that means I could have my own garage, my own front porch, and my own yard; that was the most appealing thing about it. When I met with the independent living coordinator, then later with the other personnel, they were so helpful, and so interested. The people that I met there were very friendly and welcoming. I like the activities they are offering. In fact, I was asked to help them start a bible study because they knew my background. I've already taken part in the activities and started to get acquainted with people. The dining room is open all day, so you can eat at your own convenience, and I like that option. The people are friendly, and the activities are interesting. There is something for everybody, so I can do as much as I want with the community, and I can eat as many or as few as I want. I can participate in anything that they offer, but I don't have to, though it is an appealing list. Everybody that I've come in contact with has been helpful, and really go above and beyond to help me. The move-in coordinator went with me to Lowe's to buy some extra shelving, she left the premises with me to go shopping, and I thought that was an extra bonus. Everything that I've experienced has been positive. The people are welcoming, and they know my name. They have already accepted me as a resident. I've had several meals there, they have a new chef, and I'm pleased with the food.

We had an in-person tour at Highgrove at Tates Creek. We're in the process of moving in. We went ahead and signed a contract. We're in a rental agreement with them and we're slowing moving stuff. We only live three to four miles away and so we're moving a lot of stuff ourselves. It's excellent. The staff is very good, no problems. We had lots of questions and they were very accommodating. We did not do food tasting. With the pandemic, they're kinda limited. Due to the virus, they didn't give us a tour of the dining facility or the assisted living. We just strictly went to the cottage area. It's very nice. Everything was very clean. It's got two bedrooms and two full baths, which is really nice. It looks like it will work out really well for us.

Our cottage is comfortable and adequate for our needs. We think it's wonderful that we found this kind of a place to live, with the help the staff gives us.

Highgrove at Tates Creek was excellent and it was my friend's first choice. The reason she didn't choose it is because of the kitchen. There was no dishwasher or stove. I can understand why most senior citizens shouldn't have a stove, but some of those in independent living would want one because they still like to mingle around in the kitchen and have a dishwasher, because who wants to wash their dishes? There is a dining room though. They showed us a list of activities and all the facilities. They're going to have around 50 activities a month. I would say they're all rated very high when it comes to that. The rooms were more of the apartment type. They have a kitchen, but it's just not fully equipped.

I loved Highgrove at Tates Creek. I saw stuff going on there, but the price was out of range. They had Bingo and the residents were really nice. The staff was nice and the facility was nice and pretty. The lady we talked to there was very pleasant.
