My parents moved into Cedar Lake Village a couple of weeks ago. They have different levels of care available, and my parents might need them later. Everybody there is very helpful, and the residents seem happy. There were lots of choices of food. The dining area is nice and spacious. They have a buffet style of lunch. They can go through and choose the food that they want, rather than just getting whatever they have. They have a lot of choices in the rooms, too. My parents have a nice size bedroom, a den, two bathrooms, a full sized laundry, and a full size kitchen. It is very spacious and clean. They recarpeted and repainted it before they moved there, which was standard. They do have a lot of activities. They have a theater, a couple of libraries, a really nice gym, and an indoor pool. They do church services, games, special events, and social activities. They have a garden that the residents can work in. They can get their own garden space and work on their own gardens, which is nice.

I visited Cedar Lake Village two years ago. It's an older establishment but what's nice was that it's close to the Olathe hospital. Not that I need it, but it's nice to know it's there. The cleanliness was very good. It was 95% satisfactory. The lady I talked to was also nice, very accommodating, and explained everything. She was very friendly. As the residents would pass by, she'd say "Good morning!" or "Hello." She didn't ignore them.

We're on a waitlist for Cedar Lake Village. What we both liked best was the villas, they made you feel like you were just moving to a smaller home. And it wasn't like you were living in a retirement community but you had the facilities right there available to you if you needed them. The atmosphere was very calm and inviting. We took our dog on a leash inside with us, and we felt like we had been invited into someone's home, but it wasn't a home.

I have been in Cedar Lake Village on numerous occasions and it is a very well maintained facility with great food and a staff that cares a great deal for the residents. The four people that I have known there are very pleased with the care. I have also heard a number of similar comments for others who have had loved ones there.

Cedar Lake Village independent living is beautiful, well-managed, and clean as a whistle. I wish I could afford it. The one person I met with was very efficient, friendly, and provided a lot of information. It was a positive feeling for sure. The dining area was very accommodating. They had a movie theater, a few rooms for activities, and a shelter in case of a tornado. I was impressed.

Cedar Lake Village was very good and I liked that everything was on one level. It's actually a continuing care community, so they go from individual villas, to elderly housing, assisted living, and then skilled nursing, which was a good fit for my mom. It's a Lutheran facility which was is my mom's faith. The room that my mom ended up picking is nice. It's at the end of a hallways, it's quiet, the rooms are well kept up, and my mom has a nice view of Cedar Lake. It's fairly close to dining and other facilities that my mom might use, like a hair salon, activity room, and library. The staff that I met was very nice, helpful, and provided me with lots of information.

I went to Cedar Lake, it looked like a pretty good place, but the food only looked so-so. The menu didn't have a lot of different stuff. The rooms were nice, the staff was nice, and they had a courtyard. It was OK.

Cedar Lake Village seemed professional, clean, organized, and up-to-date. The building looked like it was really built for memory care. The rooms were nice and clean. When I was there, the residents were playing music. They also had exercise and cooking classes. They had memory boxes outside each bedroom so that they knew where their room was. In the memory care unit, there was a small, family-style kitchen area attached to the dining room.

Cedar Lake was a good place; I liked it, but it was just too expensive. The environment looked good, but it's just too much money. The rooms looked nice, and everything seemed clean and well taken care of. They invited us to see the theater, and everything was great. The food was good as well.

I placed my father in an Independent Living apartment at Cedar Lake Village (CLV) two years ago after hearing positive feedback. I have to say that the feedback was right. The staff at CLV has treated my father with so much kindness and compassion, and I can tell they genuinely care about him. On more than one occasion the staff has been able to check on my dad when I called, and whenever I've come needing information, ideas, assistance, or whatever, they go to great lengths to ensure they help me and my dad. From Abby who originally got us signed up, to Tracey the Senior Living Director who has always made herself available to help with facilities' questions, Andrea, Amy, Denise, Daphne, Kelsie, and others, we have felt at "home" at CLV and I've always felt like my dad was in a great place. They have many regular activities for the residents like bingo, movies, and news discussions that keep minds active and bodies moving. There's a nice pool and gym and the lunchrooms are always clean with good food on the menu. If you are considering CLV for a loved one I can assure you it's been an awesome experience for my dad and my family, and I give it my highest recommendation.

I have found Cedar Lake Village for my parents. There is a lot to like about it. My parents are the ones who picked it. They're happy with it, so I'm happy. I love the staff. Obviously, we like the spiritual atmosphere and how it is affiliated with the church, which I appreciate very much. The rooms were really nice and all on one level, which I really like. The whole facility is one level with a huge campus and everything needed, like hospice, memory care, skilled nurses, and assisted and independent living. I saw the dining room, and it was great. The food looked really good.

From all the places I have visited, Cedar Lake Village was the facility I liked the most. They were really good. I just like them. The staff was very nice and courteous. They were really good about looking at helping us. The apartments looked very good and spacious. We have eaten there, and the food was very good too.

We just visited one assisted living facility -- Cedar Lake Village. I thought it was beautiful, and when the time comes, I believe this is where my mother will be. It's a newer facility. The staff was very nice. They gave us a complete tour and answered all of our questions. I just really like this place, and this is where she will live.

We took our family member here. At first they were really helpful, but things changed. Even though she had a sore back (we found out later it was a compression fracture) she was continually forced into getting out of her wheelchair to sit in a wooden chair, just so she could eat in the dining room. Other clients told her that she was the"mean one". I would never tell anyone to bring their loved one here for assisted living.

Cedar Lake Village was a good place, but it’s more expensive, and they don’t have the care that they did here. They said they would take you to doctors, but they only took you. The buildings were quite new. There were two bathrooms and a washer and dryer.

Cedar Lake Village was really close to my house. I liked that. They had very nice, clean, and updated rooms with a variety of sizes. I liked that they had two different dining rooms on two different floors. They also offered food services to come to your room if you needed. They also had a really nice common area, which was so large. They had plenty of activities on their calendar. They also had an indoor swimming pool, and they had movie night. The people there were very friendly, as well.

I was very impressed with Cedar Lake Village. The building was beautiful and clean inside and out. The staff was friendly and helped us locate our family member when we got there. The activity for that afternoon happened to be a harp recital. During our visit, I enjoyed seeing that residents were able to maintain much of their independence. However, if our loved one needed help, I was told staff would arrive in minutes which was comforting. It was also nice to know that Olathe Medical Center is just across the street. Most importantly, our family member seemed well cared for and happy.
