My father has moved into Arlington Place of Red Oak. Our overall experience is good. The staff is very caring and always greets you. They always have a smile on their face. They're always there. The staff is great. His room is very nice and comfortable and it has a good view from the windows. The upkeep and maintenance are good. The dining area in the memory care is not really great and kind of impersonal. The assisted living part is good. The food is OK. They have an activity director. They play games and they have jigsaw puzzles. They try to keep him involved. The outdoor spaces are really, really nice, and they have gardens there. It looked really comfortable.

I would not recommend this facility for memory care services. Staff was minimally trained and do not appear to be interested in training when provided. We had our home health therapist offer to train on special circumstances, the floor staff begrudgingly stood against the wall to watch, but never made an attempt to follow through with techniques. Multiple occasions of medication errors for my parent. We also frequently witnessed staff becoming frustrated and arguing with residents instead of redirecting or using any basic dementia care techniques. We would have appreciated knowing these things before choosing to move a family member into this facility

I have several residents I know that live at Arlington Place in the memory care and the assisted living. They really like living there, and staff is so kind and willing to lend a helping hand. I have been there when the Mennonites come to sing, and during bingo, and those are both popular events. There are snacks (ice cream, chips, fruit and other miscellaneous) out at all times, there is a beautician that comes into the facility, and they go on outings in the facility bus monthly. The apartments are clean, the facility smells nice, and there is a Bistro area that has drinks available also. Arlington Place is a great alternative when you don't want to place someone in the nursing home, especially the memory care with only 10 apartments and staff on both sides 24/7. I would move in there if I was unable to stay in my own home, they treat everyone like they matter.

Arlington Place of Red Oak is nice. They have been accommodating. They're a little understaffed for my mother's needs, but for somebody who can still do some for themselves, it's an OK community. Part of it is brand new and modern, and they keep it clean. Most of the staff members are doing a pretty fair job. The food is average. They have exercise, music, puzzles, and drawing.

My mother-in-law visited recently and wanted to visit some assisted living homes in the area as she wants to move closer. On her list to visit was Arlington Place in Red Oak. Arlington Place is pretty standard in its look and what it offers for amenities. While it isn't over the top extravagant it has nice d̩cor and a good overall feel. The staff seemed busy and active, but they also took the time to talk and socialize with residents as they walked by and helped them. The residents seemed in good spirits and had a positive overall affect. The nurses were very social and had very good attitudes even when we stopped them to ask a question. While almost everything was in line with what I have come to expect from assisted living homes, the price was significantly below what I have been seeing in our area. While I can't say that Arlington Place blew me away, it was a nice, affordable option that easily fits a niche for home in our area.
