My mother moved to Copper Shores Village Assisted Living one month ago. We are very impressed with our experience.....and in Mom's words, "I could not have chosen a better place." We appreciate the warm welcome, cleanliness, attention to detail, and help from both the staff and the residents. Overall, they have made a huge change much easier for all of us!

I'm going to choose Copper Shores Village. The people and the staff there were so friendly, the apartments are just what I need, and they have so many activities going on. They're right off a lake with plenty of outside seating. And I think I'm going to be very happy there. They also have two meals a day and there's plenty of parking. The room comes with a complete kitchen, a washer, and a dryer, they have beautiful blinds and they have windows. The staff showed me so many rooms and introduced me to so many people, I couldn't be happier. The one who gave me the tour was very informative, very friendly, answered all my questions, and introduced me to a lot of the staff and residents there. I haven't tried the food yet but I've talked to a number of the residents there, and they say they're wonderful. It's restaurant style, you sit down and they come and take your order, and they have lots of choices. They have a big menu you can order through any time, or they have a weekly menu they hand out, and they give specials for the week. They've just renovated a bunch of the apartments, and I will be having one of them. And they have this beautiful deck outside.

Copper Shores Village is advertised to be more than it is. The activities are poor, the food is horrible, and there is a problems with bullying among the residents. Front desk staff is rarely friendly, and there is a large turnover of staff. The environment isn't too friendly. We expected my mom to be active and having fun there, but she hated it. You get charged a approx $175 more to be on the west side of the hallway, so you can look out the window AT THE LAKE. Totally ridiculous. There is also a problem with cleanliness issues in the dining area. I reported them to the Health Department before moving my mother out of there. I was unable to get into the building on a Friday night after hours, when my mother was having a medical emergency. All calls made to the numbers provided, went directly to voicemail. I do not recommend Copper Shores Village AT ALL. Take your loved one somewhere else.

My father-in-law lives at Copper Shores Village. The room has a beautiful view of the lake there. It is a pretty modern facility. It has a lot of activities. It has a really nice gym to work out. We saw three levels of care. They have a memory care there, too. We met quite a few people there. I even met the nurse from the assisted living side. My father-in-law likes the food. The place has a beautiful view of the lake, and there's a walking trail around the lake. There's a nice patio area to sit out. Even for the memory care, they have their own little fenced-in area (so they can't wander). They have a personal trainer there that will help you use the equipment and build your strength. My father-in-law really likes that.

My parents moved in here years ago and have loved it. New management took over last year and has made significant changes - the latest is trying to force all residents from their 1 & 2 bedroom apartments, with kitchens and laundry - into small studios. This is not why most chose here. I would look very hard before committing to this place and it’s policies that seem only financial focused without thought to the needs of its residents

I've moved into Shores at Pleasant Hill. The dining room is very nice, they have very nice people, and the food is pretty good. The housekeeping seems adequate. I have my own washer and dryer, a full kitchen, and whenever I need anything done, the maintenance people are right there. I'm happy here. The staff is really nice. They seem to know what they're doing, they're very efficient, and whenever I need anything, they come right away. There's an exercise room.

The Shores at Pleasant Hill was only about five years old. Everybody was super nice. It had an open area for the dining room. It was a smaller place with one- or two-bedroom units. Some of the layouts were great, but they did not have decks or patios, and my mom and dad liked to sit on the deck. The price was a little expensive. The square footage could have been better for the price. The staff was very nice. We looked at what they called a one plus that did not have a second bedroom, but it had a den that could be a small bedroom. We looked at ones with full appliances and without.

We chose it because my husband had been at the Shores three times for respite care. He likes it there and the staff. The facilities are very nice. We are going to have a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with a nice living room, a full size kitchen, a very big laundry room with a full washer and dryer, and all the appliances. When my husband was there, they gave him a two-bedroom apartment, and he liked the food, the cook, and the staff. That is why we are going to go there. I think what stood out to me was the size of their apartment. The rooms are much larger and everything, so I think it is the size of the rooms and the big kitchen. They are nice and roomy. And the staff is great; they have been very good to us. I love the staff. They are really nice.

I like the price and the proximity of the Shores located at Pleasant Hills. This assisted living place is close to our residence, and the price is good. I don't have any suggestions, but I just probably don't feel anybody is absolutely perfect in any way.

The Shores at Pleasant Hill assisted living facility was one of the places we saw while looking in the region for our great aunt. The exterior was designed like a hotel or resort, with nicely appointed and beautifully landscaped greenery overlooking nearby Copper Creek Lake. Some of the seniors maintain the garden. The lobby was clean and fresh with very nice staff to greet us. We first saw the fitness center which had well maintained equipment and ample rooms. They also had daily classes and the residents could safely navigate the lovely patio grounds with adequate supervision as necessary. Their library was impressive, with many good books and games. They also offer Internet access. They also have a convenient salon, Internet cafe and work spaces for various hobbies and crafts. The meal menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets. The dining room was quite nice, with plenty of space. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. Healthy snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents request them. The living spaces were generous, with several different floor plans to choose from and the safety of the residents is assured at all times. The residents are taken to many interesting events in the region -- to take advantage of the many cultural activities. The many planned outings feature everything from book readings and discussions to the arts, and visits to local museums, galleries, film and theater. This is a full service senior community with a very attentive staff -- and we could see how anyone would really enjoy living in this environment.

The facility itself is very nice. It is an apartment complex offering various ranges of assisted living services. It is located directly next to a lake that residents can either visit or see from their window if they are on the correct side of the building. The staff is accommodating, but are very averse to any actions that might hinder "routine". There seems to be a rather extensive list of rules for the facility, which can be good or bad, depending upon your preference. The residents are very friendly for the most part and are quite courteous. They will hold doors and elevators for you, and engage in friendly conversation. There is very good parking services for residents, including and indoor parking garage. There is also a little shop in which residents can spend money to buy snacks and other assorted conveniences. In addition, there is a hair salon in the facility. All in all, I would recommend The Shores, but be aware that there are a number of rules and guidelines.
