We are coming up on our year anniversary at Stirlingshire of Coralville and I cannot say enough good things about the community. Placing my mom somewhere alone, as dad recently passed, was over the top scary, but the staff made it obvious from day one they were the real deal. The resident assistants and management do a great job of being present at all times. Mom is treated with respect and kindness which means so much to me. She does not engage in many activities but when she does she absolutely loves them. The rooms at Stirlingshire are very spacious, clean and easy to get around. She receives three meals a day and they always aim to please if there is something she is hungry for. Love our Stirlingshire family.

My mother-in-law has moved into Stirlingshire of Coralville. It's a nice memory care. It's very up-to-date and modern. The main thing is they have good care and it's between both children that live nearby, so it's a perfect location for us. My mother-in-law's room is a very large, open area with a small kitchenette area that has a microwave and a refrigerator, that's it, and that's all we wanted. There's a nice sitting area at the opposite end of the bedroom area, which makes it seem open and easy for visitors to have a place to sit and congregate, so it works well. There's a large bathroom where it's easy to shower her with a shower chair and things. I haven't tried their food, but other family members have, and I think that it's been okay. We are very pleased. The staff have been very good. There have been times when my mother-in-law hasn't said the nicest things. They're very good about calling us, which we're so happy about because we want to know how it's going. We visit her often, but we want to know how it's going. It's very good communication. They have a 9 to 5 activity director who is the young son of the director of nursing there. I've been to the activities when he's doing them and they're exceptional. They have an onsite activity director which is fantastic. Of course, it's expensive, but every place is, and I think it's worth the money for sure. We feel like my mother-in-law is safe and well cared for.

My mother will be moving into Stirlingshire of Coralville. I like the setting. It's in a forested area. The people were all very pleasant and nice. The menu looked great. The dining area was very wide open and you can look into the forest. It's very clean. It's only a year and a half old. They have daily activities from arts and crafts to music to painting. It's a lot. The staff was very accommodating.
