Most of the other places that I looked at were small living rooms or a combination of living room/bedroom with a kitchenette, but Keystone Place (Keystone Place at Blairs Ferry) has a nice-sized living room with a sunroom and an actual porch out front. I have a full kitchen with a stove and an oven and a nice-sized bedroom and a private bathroom. The size of the place is what really attracted me. One thing they do is they just check to make sure you’re alive once a day. If they don’t see you in the restaurant, in the halls, or in the activities, they just call to make sure that everything is fine. I see the staff a lot. Everybody is very nice. There are all kinds of activities. I’m active in some but not as many as I should be yet. I’m still getting settled in and just finished getting my place furnished and decorated this week. I went on a little bus trip to a casino this week and signed up for some other things, so it is good.

Keystone Place is the right size and is in the right location to be a good fit for us: - size allows them to offer a full range of services and features to meet our needs, but is small enough for the staff to know us. - location has us only short hop to places we go to and the friends to come for a visit. Staff here is friendly/responsive – great people.

Never wavering from our decision to downsize and move to Keystone Place eight years ago, we have been happy living in this lovely facility with pleasant, helpful staff. Many amenities are favorites. - Biweekly housekeeping services are performed competently by trustworthy personnel. - The restaurant's extensive menu accommodates dietary restrictions, when possible, with service by personable waitresses. If I so desire, the complete kitchen in our large apartment affords me the opportunity to prepare a home-cooked meal on occasion. - An obliging beautician staffs the onsite beauty salon; prompt and courteous drivers provide local transportation to appointments; and a well-equipped fitness room and exercises assisted by a personal trainer offer wellness opportunities. Interesting variety to daily routine is provided by activities such as crafts, musical entertainment, trivia games, movies, and lunch outings to local restaurants. In our book, Keystone Place is rated a 10.

Violet likes the pool. I like the many choices offered four our meals. Activity room for family get togethers and the cleaning is good! Maintenance men are real good about fixing things. So glad we moved here!

Keystone Place at Blairs Ferry was absolutely gorgeous, but absolutely out of my price range. It was the only one that had a pool, so I was impressed with that. They have different exercise rooms, and I suppose you can have someone help you with your exercises, or maybe you just want to go for some independent things like for a walk outside. They pretty much let you do what you want to do. They have like a little restaurant in there, and you have to pay for your own meals, whichever ones you want. The rooms were a pretty good size, and that is probably another reason why their prices are higher. The unit that I visited was on the ground floor, and they had a center room in there. She had a deck where she could put plants and a birdhouse, that kind of thing, to make it homey, and then it also had a little kitchen with a stove and a full-size refrigerator. So you have the option to eat there or cook your own meals. I didn't see too many staff people. Of course, the person at the front door was very nice, and the person that showed me around was also very nice and answered all my questions. I'd go there if I could afford it.
