Last year, we were able to visit Mill-Pond in Ankeny. It was a nice facility. We just had certain things that we would have wanted, like we wanted something close to where our doctor was and at a certain price. For activities, they had movies, cards, and games. The problem with this virus going on is that they only had certain people that could go around, and we were not allowed to see a lot of places in the facility. The people who showed us around though were very nice. They toured us around, answered all of our questions, and showed us the rooms that they could show us.

Mill-Pond was nice, but Ankeny is not close to our doctors or family. The staff was very nice. We have a friend there, and she loves it. It was very clean. Everybody was helpful. Because of the virus, we couldn't see any of the rooms. The rooms you could see were not taken, but they were vacuumed, clean, and very nice. The dining area was OK. They had to do distancing. There were very few people there because of the virus, so they did a very good job. If people came down to eat, everybody was far away from each other.

I went to Mill-Pond. I really enjoyed the visit, I thought it was clean, neat, and looked new. The staff was very professional, accommodating, she wanted to know what we needed, and that kind of stuff. We saw the apartments, it was small, and one of them wasn't accommodating for a wheelchair, it was kind of hard to turn into the bedroom. It was very well done, and they were redoing a few of the room, and they were gonna take out the carpeting, and have it all wood floors. They were redoing it nicely.

We're waiting to move into Mill Pond Senior Living, they have so much to offer, and it's a big complex. No one compares to them, they have lots of activities, and they put out a monthly schedule. It has a nice atmosphere. They have movie nights. The staff was very good, they answered all our questions, and they gave us a tour that lasted quite a while. The independent living part that we're moving into is brand new. It's a 4-story building, and there are a lot of people living there.

We looked for a place for my mom, and we have her in Mill-Pond. It is very nice and very comfortable. The staff is just wonderful. They are kind and very caring. They give us phone calls a lot to let us know how she is doing. She is in a shared room. It is not gigantic, but it is bigger than a hospital room. Every single room has a very pleasant view, and most of them has a view of the pond. There are lots of activities. They have fountains in the different little ponds. It is very nice there. The food is good. She has physical therapy every single day. They do have a variety of things, and they have a calendar every month as to what they are doing every single day. There are at least 2 or 3 activities every single day.

My Mom was in Millpond for over 16 years and I can not say enough about her Family at Millpond. They always cared for her and the care was top notch. I don't know what I would have done with out our Millpond Family. The last 5 years of my Mothers Life she was in the care center and her Nurses were Awesome and always did what ever then needed to, to keep her happy. Nurse Lora & Steffie became just like her children. Those two ALWAYS went OVER AND ABOVE caring for our Mother!!!! Sometime Mom even felt like she wanted them over her own children. At the end when she went home to be with the Lord, The little honor service that was held for her right after her death was Unbelievable and such a caring way to let Mom go! I can not say enough about Millpond and will always be Grateful for the whole staff and friends that have become so special and all the Memories will never be forgotten!!!!

My father-in-law has been a resident of the nursing home for the past year. He is not able to walk but is cognitively gifted. He is fairly dependent on staff for assistance. I have found the facility and staff to be EXCELLENT! He is treated like a family member but just about everyone who comes in contact with him. The laundry service and overall cleanliness of the facility is superior. The activities opportunities are bountiful. The van service they offer residents is great! Our family is thrilled with Mill Pond!

when i visited the nursing home they have a very friendly atmosphere that make guests feel at home. the people working there are friendly and will help anyone that is needing directions, assistance, and information. there are minor errors but overall i think is a nice facility that is clean and allows the residents to good outside and have a nice relaxing day in the middle of summer.

My grandmother stayed at this nursing home while recovering from shoulder surgery. This facility had assisted living and a nursing/rehabilitation wing. It was a great facility that offered shared and private rooms. The smell within was pleasant and was not the typical "nursing home" smell. My grandmother greatly enjoyed her stay here. She said that they had a lot of extracurricular activities available to the residents that included Wii Bowling and Baseball, Ice Cream Socials, Tea Parties and many more. She requested that if she ever needed to go back for an extended period of time she would want to go back!

Mom has been there for just over a year, and they have done a pretty good job. The food is great (and generous), and the help is pleasant. At first there was confusion as to who was in charge - there have been three people saying "I'm in charge" in a year, but people seem happy there. They seem to take pride in how they dress and have their hair done each day. Very nice!

We recently moved my mother-in-law into independent living here and we really like it. It's a very nice facility with many activities should your loved one want to take part. Independent Living is attached to the Assisted Living complex and there is also a nursing home attached. This will be so convenient should we need to move from one stage to the next down the road. Everyone is very, very friendly and it is a safe place, which is important to us.
