My mother-in-law had been in Miller's Merry Manor for rehab. It was very clean and very friendly. The staff was very attentive. My mother-in-law was there for three weeks. Her room had one bed, a table, chairs, and a bathroom. It was very nice. Her insurance paid for it, so I had no idea about the price. My mother-in-law liked the food. I tried it, too, and it was good. They also have a swimming pool and a courtyard. They were on top of everything. It was nice; I didn't have any complaints. I took her laundry home because she was afraid that they would lose it, but they had laundry there. They had a dining area, too, and it was very nice.

Mom was at Miller's Merry Manor after she fell and broke her leg. It was weight-bearing for three months and she was there until she was able to come home, but I was not happy with them. Since she was not able to get out of bed, I didn't like that she didn't have the availability to get water or anything when she wanted it. She had no bedside table or anything. She was in a room with someone else and that lady had been there for six years. So, she had three-quarters of the room and that's why Mom didn't have room to have a table or a chair or anything on her side of the room. She had no availability to see out a window or anything. So, I was not happy with the care that she received. Other than that, everything I saw was pretty clean.

Miller's Merry Manor was a little larger. It was like hospital size rooms in there, and they were separated by a curtain. My mom didn't qualify for assisted living, so that is the issue with having to go with a full-blown nursing home. They had good staffing.

The staff here was pleasant and friendly. There was a lady at the desk to greet us when we walked in, and she introduced us to our guide. This guide was very knowledgeable about the facility and allowed us to tour a few of the rooms to see what my grandmother's options were. She even introduced us to some of the staff that my grandmother would be interacting with. Since it was close to lunchtime, the guide invited us to stay to try out their menu. The dining area was clean and cheerful with a list of the items being served that day. There was also a list of alternate options for people with special dietary needs. The food was good and cooked well. The only big turnoff happened when we left the facility. An employee was standing directly outside the door smoking a cigarette which we were able to smell strongly as we exited. Our guide told us this was not company policy and that the employee would be reprimanded for their unprofessional behavior. Other than this it appeared to be a great facility that we were seriously considering before my grandmother became too ill and had to be hospitalized.

Everyone was warm and friendly with a home like atmosphere for an assisted living. Not to large. Good food.
