To me, Bickford of Wabash had the feel of nursing home. I just did not care for that. That's not what I'm looking for, and I asked the girl a few questions, and in many cases she didn't even know the answers, and that was not impressive to me at all. I was so unimpressed that I really don't even remember what the room looked like, because as soon as I left I dismissed it, because I'm not interested in Wabash. I felt like I walked into a nursing home. It was quiet. I met a couple of residents there, and they were very friendly. But as far as the facility itself and the staff that I met, I was very unimpressed.

Bickford of Wabash was wonderful. It was small, not a huge place, but it was very homey and comfortable. They had a courtyard and bird feeders. They had a church service going on when I was there and it was beautiful. I brought home an activity sheet and looked like they have something going on every day. I looked at a studio apartment. There's a living room with a bed in it, a small kitchenette, a room for a chair and a dresser, a bathroom, and a little walk-in closet. The dining room was also very nice, very cozy, and pleasant. They had a trained chef to cook their food. The staff was very pleasant and very nice. They were all laughing and bantering back and forth together. It just felt like a place where I wanted to be.

I toured Bickford of Wabash in person. It was very good. I was very impressed with the assisted living. It was very clean and very homey. I talked to a few of the residents, and they all like it there. It was very clean and very nice. The staff showed me a one-bedroom and then she showed me a two-bedroom. They're very, very nice rooms. They had little kitchenettes and the bathrooms of course. It was a very nice facility.

Bickford of Wabash was good. Everybody seemed to be sociable and happy. The staff was very friendly. The food was good and the menu looked like they had reasonable and healthy. The dining room was fresh, well-lit, lots of sunshine coming in, nice and neat. The rooms were really nice and laid out really good. It looked like they offered what other places do, like a beauty parlor, manicures, pedicures, and different activities like painting. The director was very knowledgeable and was very helpful. She took me on a tour of different types of rooms and answered all of my questions.
