My father-in-law is at Independence Village of Evansville. I love that they have different levels of care available even though it's rated as independent living. There are medication reminders and all meals are provided. The food won him over. They have different options for each meal and the main courses taste like home-cooked food. It is an older building. So, it looks a little dated, but they have some plans to redo it. My father-in-law has gone to bingo and a birthday party. He mentioned some other things, too. He seems happy there. It's so homey.

I toured and they have a studio unit. They got a one-bedroom unit and they got a two-bedroom unit. I was looking at a one-bedroom unit. The one-bedroom unit had a little patio outside of it. And they got places to park. The person who gave the tour was nice.

I have been a resident for seven years now. I've had my ups and downs, like any place you live. They have three meals a day. We finally have an activity director, so they have activities like bingo and music being played by outside people. They have games on Mondays. We have a bus that takes people if they have to go to the doctor. They only take people to the doctor in the morning. They take them to Walmart, drugstores, and everywhere else they need to go. It's also wheelchair-accessible. They do things for the holidays. We have several people in electric wheelchairs. We have mail services. If you need to send the package back, you can have it sent back here. You don't have to go to the post office. We have three laundry rooms, one on each floor. We have two visitor restrooms, one on the bottom floor and one on the second floor. There are balconies in some of the apartments. There are a lot of what they call studio apartments and some L-shaped studio apartments, which are nice. They are pet-friendly. There is covered parking if you want it, but you pay for it. They will take your trash out, but you have to take it to one of the laundry rooms. The food has gotten a whole lot better. We have an elevator.

I'm moving in. It had all the things that I needed, it just had everything. The staff was very attentive to my needs and answered my questions. They are very friendly and very nice. They interacted well with the residents as they were walking through the area. The apartments were very nice. No complaints. The one thing I like most is that they provide a linen service and cleaning services. That's something I have a problem with is being able to run a vacuum cleaner. They clean the apartment and change the linens once a week, and I really like that a lot, as well as the meal service.

I went to visit some of my friends. I've been there when they had activities, and it was fun. They have as many activities available as the other facilities that I know. The only reason I would not rate them as high is that you can't stay there for the rest of your life, unless you die of another cause. It only has independent living. They play bingo sometimes, and they'll also have speakers. I have eaten there once, and I had a great meal. I know that my friend who lives there is extremely happy with it, too. The facility looked smaller. When you drive in, you just drive down an incline into a very short little parking area. If you're older and you need to sit down outside, you'd like some place that's pretty looking. Here you're seeing other buildings, so the scenery is not that great when you look out the window.

The one-bedroom apartment was too small, and my parents didn't care for it. They have a nice, big dining area and a lot of activities planned. They have several different floor plans that are nice, and they have two-bedroom apartments. The staff member was nice, and they provided excellent service. It's a very clean place.

The staff was very nice, informative, friendly, down-to-earth, and explained things in great detail. It was a nice area and I felt comfortable. The place is very clean and neat. I can keep my car there which is nice, and it's close to a lot of shopping centers. The rooms were very nice, and the apartment they took me to has been recently vacated, and painted. The room sizes were great. It was on the ground floor which I liked since I had a walker. The dining area was lovely and the food was very good.
