StoryPoint is what I like to call a cruise ship on land. They have so many activities for the residents to do and they are always so friendly and kind. I moved my parents in several months ago, with some apprehension from my father, but they absolutely love it now. The rooms are spacious and they have one or two bedroom apartments to chose from. The food is fantastic and they have a large variety to chose from every day. The staff are all so accommodating and everyone treats the residents with respect and kindness. The activities range from in house karaoke, live music, card/game playing and many more, to taking trips to museums, shows, community activities, river boats, and many many more. The have a shuttle bus that you can schedule for Dr appointments and they go to the grocery store on certain days if you’re unable to drive yourself. If you’re looking for a place to call home for you or your loved one, look no further than StoryPoint. You won’t be disappointed.

My mom is a resident and Storypoint has been amazing for us. She initially came to Storypoint for a respite stay after a medical issue and has since moved into one of the independent living apartments. I live out of the area and used to worry about her constantly when she was living alone, and it has truly been a gift to know that she is taken care of, happy, eating delicious meals, and that she is safe. Everyone who works at Storypoint (administration, housekeeping, maintenance, restaurant staff, etc.) is so helpful and friendly. They go above and beyond for their residents. The additional services provided by the homecare and physical therapy teams help my mom continue to improve and stay in an independent living situation when she otherwise wouldn’t have been able to do so. Her cat and dog are also able to live with her at Storypoint, which makes a huge difference in her happiness. I could go on and on about how wonderful Storypoint has been for my mom and my our family. I highly recommend Storypoint!

StoryPoint Chesterton was very nice. It's new, so it's a pretty place and the rooms were a nice size. It's easy to get around. I liked it a lot. The staff were very friendly and the people seemed very happy there. They were just very smiley, very friendly, and made you feel comfortable. They had a good sense of humor. I enjoyed them. They bought us all lunch and it was great.

Looking for a place for your loved one....Story Point has to be the best facility around!! They treat your loved one like family and the facility is like everyone's home! Every single employee is so kind and will do anything to help any resident at any time! The apartments are pretty. The halls, laundry room, refuse room, common areas are ALWAYS clean. There are always plenty of activities to do! There are even events often for the family to join your loved ones, like a campground theme pig roast. It's great!! The food is amazing! They have a beautiful dining room, and a court yard! Every dinner you get your choice of a starter, entree,and dessert, beverage. Everything is home made and If your loved one doesn't like what is on the menu they can order something else. Family members can join for dinner. I have stayed and ate dinner with my mom and it is the best! My mom loves Story Point and to this day she continues to say how much she loves it! And, that is what everyone wants for their loved one, happiness, to be safe, and know that they are being treated as family!!

Making the decision to choose Story Point for our family members new residence was one of the best decisions we’ve made together. Story Point has a wonderful sense of community, residents quickly become your friends, and the staff is exceptional in the care and services they provide. Our family member has the support and manageable lifestyle she needs at this time in her life, and we have the comfort of knowing she is safe in living independently. The apartment is perfect in size and has a spacious open feel to it, with an outdoor balcony for enjoying the beautiful sunny mornings. All the amenities you could wish for are available! There is always something fun happening at Story Point~ live entertainment, movie nights, fitness classes, bible study, Coffee Club, Happy Hour… just to name a few. One of our Mom’s favorite things is the wonderful dining. The chef and culinary staff are exceptional and create delicious, creative meals to enjoy. Every week she raves about her favorites and as a family we have enjoyed their monthly Sunday brunches together. Convenient amenities, engaging activities and it’s friendly & supportive community all make it a beautiful place to reside, as well as visit. We highly recommend!

StoryPoint Chesterton was very nice. I got to see their happy hour, where they could go down and enjoy the bar and get some drinks. The staff was nice. The menu was very nice. They get together on a weekly basis and get the residents' opinions on what they would like to have on the menu. Where the cooking staff is at, they have open windows where they can go and watch them cook. The apartment had a living room, a dining room with a kitchenette, a full size refrigerator, and a stove. I didn't get to see anything, but the staff told me that they have many activities and amenities that they could go and do. There was a sewing class, a quilting class, and a full library. The only thing I really got to experience them doing was their happy hour. I was very impressed with the place. The staff explained everything very thoroughly. She did a good job with everything. It was very clean and new.

Story Point in Chesterton is amazing! Two months ago we moved in my mother and father who wanted their independence but needed a little help with the day to day things like dinner, light cleaning, and a no maintenance house. It is such a relief to know my parents are in a safe environment and are truly enjoying very minute. Story Point is the perfect place for my parents now and for the future when they will need more assistance. The staff are beyond amazing and the meals are delicious! Story Point offers wonderful activities for everyone to enjoy!

Storypoint Chesterton is truly amazing. My parents moved from another independent living facility and this has improved their lives on every level. My dad has Parkinson's, and the home care here has been a game changer for him and my mother. The food is so good I wish I could have it at my house! Brand new and impeccably clean with very attentive and friendly staff, I'm proud to have my parents live here!

This is a wonderful place! We were able to move my mother here and she is the happiest she has been in a long time! Rooms are spacious, staff is attentive, activities are plentiful and the food is amazing. I have peace of mind knowing my mother is in a safe place. They also have transportation available to her for doctor appointments. Of course the bus is also available for a little shopping!

Story Point provides everything my family could ask for the care of Mom. The facility is beautifully designed and comfortable. The staff is attentive and truly cares about Mom's well-being. Chef Brian and his staff are wonderful...the food is excellent and there are so many options for the residents to choose from. The activities are creative and too numerous to list. I highly recommend Story Point as a top-notch senior living facility.

Story Point has been a great place for mom! She loves the food and the people. Everyone is so very kind and helpful! The apartment is perfect in size for mom and is Nicely done. The whole building is beautiful with a home feeling.

StoryPoint Chesterton was very nice. The price is kind of high, and the apartment is very small. You can walk around anywhere, but the living quarters itself, for a one-bedroom is pretty small, compared to what I have right now, but their room comes furnished. Although you have a bedroom, a living room, and a bathroom, in the long run, you would prefer to live in a home where there's a little more room. The facility is very nice. They have wonderful sitting areas, a fireplace, piano, meeting room, exercise room, but no swimming pool. In the apartment they had a washer and dryer, and a kitchen. It's a very lovely community. It's beautiful. They do a temperature check, and only two guests are allowed to come in at a time, When you live there they have a computer area, WIFI area, and all kinds of stuff.

The last year has been a challenging one for all. Some of us had the added challenge of managing issues around our aging parents which I quickly learned was overwhelming. That is until I discovered StoryPoint Chesterton (Indiana.) I knew with minutes of arriving for my tour of StoryPoint Chesterton, this was the place for my father. And they did not disappoint! The complex itself is beautifully appointed and cared for. The apartments are spacious and well-thought out. There are activities that appeal to a wide-variety of interests and likes. The food service is outstanding – great variety and consistently delicious meals. And the cleanliness of StoryPoint Chesterton far exceeds anyone’s expectations. Above all, the staff is remarkable! The care, compassion, concern and good cheer shared, by what I affectionately call Team StoryPoint, towards the residents is unbeatable. Their hard work and dedication extends far beyond the residents of StoryPoint Chesterton. The same care, compassion, concern and good cheer is provided to the family and friends of their residents. Team StoryPoint has quickly transitioned from being friends to becoming family for my father, his relatives and friends. Much credit has to be given to the leadership of StoryPoint Chesterton – it’s clear that the day-to-day philosophy expected of staff is to always go above and beyond to ensure that the residents, their families and friends are well taken care of. Most importantly, my father is extremely happy living at StoryPoint Chesterton – anyone would be! Indeed, the last year has been a challenging one but due to the professionalism and expertise of Team StoryPoint, life was made a lot easier for my father and his family and we remain very grateful. My parents moved into Story Point almost two years ago. It was a fantastic move for them. Everyone who works there is so helpful and caring and they made the transition as smooth as could be for my folks. The support my parents received through my dad's illness and passing was invaluable to our family. My mom is so happy there and we are thrilled that she's in such a good spot. The staff at Story Point couldn't be any better - they absolutely care about their residents and go way above and beyond to meet their needs, help them feel comfortable and keep them active, engaged and having fun. Lots to offer here. The staff is all very friendly and helpful with the difficulty of convincing a parent or loved one to adjust to this move. My Mom is in the "Extended Care" wing of StoryPoint, and it offers everything I was looking for. My Mom can still make decisions, she just needs a little more help right now than I can offer her myself. StoryPoint and Laurus fill in the void I cannot take care of and then some without being overly restricting or invasive for her. Communication is great. Every time I visit, I get a quick update on how Mom is doing from an outside perspective which is great. Their viewpoint is one without the personal bias I have, so it is informative and keeps me in touch with what's going on while I'm not there. StoryPoint goes above and beyond in making their residents happy and healthy. The meals are beyond wonderful, the activities and events are pretty plentiful and enjoyable, and the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. It's very much like a resort in many ways more than a senior living facility. If you're looking for a place for yourself or a loved one where there are activities, transportation, events, and delicious meals available, whether you're completely independent or need a little extra help, take a tour and you'll be impressed. Trusting the people at StoryPoint with my Mom's day-to-day safety, health, and happiness came much easier than I ever expected.

Overall, StoryPoint Chesterton has the whole society, the socialization that I'm looking for, with options for medical help. The representatives and a few of the staff members were all very professional and I just loved the atmosphere. It's a perfect location, located next door to all of my doctors and a hospital facility. It's just a short distance to malls, movie theaters and YMCA. They have a schedule itinerary for a full day of different activities. Transportation is also provided and included in the price so there's no fee. The food is chef-prepared. The place is brand new.
