My brother was at Ascension Living Sacred Heart Village. I felt very sorry for them because he kept trying to get out and he was not in the locked down part at the time. They gave him good care. I liked the rooms very well and I liked this facility very much. It looked to me like they had just redone the rooms. They looked nice and they were in good shape. It was very pleasant. They had a special menu every day if you didn't want what was on the menu, and it was good food.

My brother is currently staying at Ascension Living Sacred Heart Village, and they have been wonderful. Even down to the level of bringing ice water to you, just personal services. It's the best thing I can tell you, as I told my brother, the best thing that I liked about it is when I pulled into the driveway of that facility, I had a calm come over me. He can go outside at this facility. The staff is wonderful, from the doctors to the nurse practitioner, the social worker, the admissions. Everybody has just been great down to the maintenance workers and the chaplain. To get his TV mounted, they did it in less than 24 hours. They helped me move him in. The only downfall that we've come across so far, has been the floors; but they can't control the weather. It's an older building, and the floors, the humidity there is astronomical right now with heat indexes into the hundreds. The floors are slippery because of that. That's the only thing, but they're trying to address it. They're trying to put down safety strips, but they won't connect. They won't stay on the floor because of the moisture, the humidity. That would be the only thing, but that's going to be hard to do unless they tear the building down and completely rebuild. One other positive thing about Sacred Heart Village, is that I was informed that Medicaid pays a set amount of dollars to a nursing home and it's up to that facility as to how they spend that Medicaid money. As of right now, there is only one other patient ahead of my brother that is looking to go into a private room. As soon as one is available, they can move him into a private room.

We're very well pleased with the care my mother is receiving at Presence Sacred Heart Home. She's in a two-bedroom apartment, which is perfect for her and very clean. She gets assistance with vacuuming and changing her bed and laundering it. I'm pleased with the level of help. She was diagnosed with diabetes and mild dementia and they are able to help her. The staff is very caring and very helpful. She likes the food a lot. They have bingo, get on the bus and go to Wal-Mart or Myer, have musicians every day, spiritual development, a podiatrist, a hair salon on Thursdays, and a speech pathologist comes in. Maintenance is on top of things, and they even helped my mom hang up pictures.

This used to be a wonderful nursing home! However, since Presence Life Connections purchased this facility, the care is definitely not what it used to be. Excellent staff members have left because they are not supported. Reduction in the number of CNAs has created extended wait times for residents. A number of amenities have been taken away from residents and employee and resident morale is in the toilet.

We looked at Sacred Heart which is skilled nursing and assisted living. It is very nice, and it is highly rated. We saw the nursing home part, and then we saw the assisted living apartment. The staff was very nice, and they took us on a tour. They have church for them to go to, rehab, and a gym with equipment

Provena Sacred Heart was really nice. I would recommend it to anybody. They had activities for people, and they interacted with the people. They really had nice private apartments and nice kitchens. The people working there were really friendly, not just to us, but to the people living there. It was some place that I would want my parents to go to, but if I ever needed it, I would want to there.

My father has lived at Sacred Heart for about 2 months. The staff goes above and beyond to take care of its residents. I sleep much easier at night knowing he's in a safe and caring environment.

Sacred Heart is one of the best I have experienced. It is very clean and does not have the offensive odor often encountered in nursing homes. The staff is very caring and professional. They make sure the residents have different activities such as Bingo, bringing in entertainers, interacting with local school children. There is a kitchen with a dining room that is very pleasant. There is also a beauty shop where the residents are taken frequently. There is a chapel with services for different religions. Overall this nursing home ranks as the best I personally have visited.
