We chose them because it was closer, we knew some of the people there, and we had some experience with the nursing side of it. It's a smaller facility, and we were mainly looking for activities, so it would be nice if they had more. The food is very good.

Rolling Hills Place was great, and the staff was spectacular. It was more of a nursing home kind of setting, but they had assisted living on the other side. They had independent, assisted, to skilled nursing, so it was an easy transition for care. The assisted living part had smaller units, but they were very bright, very cheery, and included a lot of activities for the residents. The people there treated the residents like family. The apartments were cozy, very home-like, very bright, and smelled good. They have a really good administrator on the assisted living side. She was excellent.

The staff here has been very conscientious about getting to know their new residents and their needs, which I think is important. The nursing staff has been very helpful in getting her very complicated medication schedule. They have arranged for a physician to be there, so they are quite efficient. They have a lot of activities similar to other places like movies and cards, but they also have a van that is handicapped accessible. It has better food than most, and the dining area is lovely.

It was beautiful, homey, and clean. It was immaculate, and everybody is friendly. I loved it! But my dad didn't like it because he didn't like the idea of having to move out of his home. The dining area is wonderful. The apartment we looked at was like a studio. They have all kinds of activities for seniors, like bingo. It seemed like they have a lot to choose from. I was so impressed with their facility; I thought it was very nice. I was in their assisted living only.
