My brother has moved into Chateau Center Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. It's a lovely place. It's a very clean, lovely environment. The building is not old or shabby. The staff is diverse. It's a diverse community. They offer activities, which is good for my brother. There is a Mens Group that meets twice a month. The men that do not feel comfortable participating in large group activities have an opportunity to congregate with other men over dinner. The staff is loving and caring. The food is good. My brother never complains about the food. They are very attentive, from the front desk to the staff of nurses. They have three sizes of rooms. They have a room for two people and a room for three people. They have rooms big enough that two people sharing a room can have a recliner, a bed, and a TV. Everybody has their own TV. Everybody has the option of having a mini refrigerator. If he has a recliner, they'll put him in a room that's big enough for the recliner and a bed. My brother is in the memory care unit, so he still has his own privacy in a room with two people, and they share a bathroom. He has a dresser, a TV, a TV stand, and he has a little refrigerator on a refrigerator table. He's very content. Once a month, they have a pet-friendly day where family members can bring their pets for the residents to visit. They do arts and crafts and things like that every evening. They have a beautiful dining room on the first floor, and they have an outside patio by the dining area. Unfortunately, my brother doesn't get to use that unless I'm there to take him downstairs because since he's in a memory care unit, he's only allowed to leave his unit if he's accompanied by a staff member or a family member. I researched so many places, and this place has been a very good choice. He hasn't complained about anything.

My husband is at Chateau Center Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and it's a very nice place. It's not modern and up-to-date, but it is clean. I think the nurses are outstanding and a lot of the staff is really good. Unfortunately, they suffer, like hospitals and other nursing homes, with not enough CNAs. They have to use agency CNAs fairly frequently, but they are in the process of hiring their own CNAs as much as they can to try to add to their staff. So, that's improving. They have two small libraries and then one bigger library. They have a computer center with two computers that residents can use and in that same room, there's a large screen T.V. and a little fireplace. So, it's a very nice room. They also have an ice cream parlor and a little place where people can buy chips and candy bars. The food is just mediocre. Some days it is pretty good and other times it's not quite up to par.

We moved my mom into Chateau Center Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, but unfortunately, she passed. She was in long-term care, and she was only there for a week. They were pretty good. They were better than the rehab she was at earlier. It was nice, it was clean, but it was old. It was very friendly. Everyone said hi to you. Like all the workers, they were very friendly. You'd walk in there, they'd all say hi. My mom complained about the food, but it seemed okay. The room was above average. Her room did not have a TV though. There was a dresser, and she had a good view of a pond, so that was kind of nice. It was a nice room.

This is the worst facility ever no communication. Horrible physical therapy, upper management doesn't help and the staff is so rude to residents they treat them like garbage. The food is disgusting. They don't pass meds properly. Don't be fooled no activities no quality of life here.

This is the worst Rehab place ever. My mom was recently there for a month. There is no communication of whatever is going with your family member. They discharge my mother home without equipment and worse without notifying the home care agency to resume my mom HHA. There is no activity for the residents. The food are horrible. The rooms are small. The staff some of them are nice but most of them do not care at all. Worst place ever.

My mother is in Chateau Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for a week now. The staff there is very compassionate, very professional. They seem to have good staffing levels, in fact, they were hiring more people. The room is clean, they had a lot of volunteers to help people out. It's a pleasant experience. They had good grounds, she felt very secure., and she does get to move around. In the physical therapy room, they were busy exercising the residents there, they seemed to be keeping them active. They had little movie nights, and it seemed to have an average activity level.

Many years ago I had a loved one here and it was decent. I now have another loved one here and it’s Despicable. Don’t put anyone here that you love. There are a few great employees but that does not make up for the many terrible ones! You have to ask multiple times for them to do things that you shouldn’t have to ask for. Like changing their clothes or getting them out of bed. I tried being nice for so long. Then after being frustrated and tired I started getting short. Nothing works. The food is bad. I would never bring another living sol here. I would like to say the activities department is very nice and caring unfortunately that’s not enough.
Don't take your loved one here if they need memory care

The patients just wander around unsupervised it's like a mad house.People were obviously soiled had old food on them old trays stacked up at nursing station people were just eating from it nobody cared very disgusting.Don't bring your loved one here if they need dementia care you can do way better

My mother has called Chateau Center home for over three years. Not unlike most Seniors, She had a very difficult time transitioning to a long term care skilled nursing facility. It breaks my heart that we can't take care of her! If your loved one is in need of rehab, especially if transition to long term skilled nursing care is required afterword, I would encourage you to entrust your loved one's care to Chateau Center. Residents are truly considered and treated as family here! We had to do the, what I refer to as, "the search for facility care within a 24 to 48 hour time constraint", because my mom was abruptly released from another facility, while under Medicare Rehab (That's a story for a different day!) You currently may or may not be going through the same or similar situation and for that I am sincerely sorry! I'm sure you'll agree that no one wants to see a loved one have to enter a skilled care facility especially for long term care through end of life. So I'll tell you what I was told, by another resident's family member (s), when I was looking, with which I wholeheartedly agree; "No matter where you go, you need to be proactive, visit often and let your concerns be known! All that said, they are pretty good here and take good care of my loved one!" My additional remarks: Food-not the best but they do listen, take concerns seriously and try to improve. You can bring food too. Most Residents like to hang out at the nurse's station when the dining room is not available, they don't have too! The staff is great they interact with the residents. Sitting there is part of the residents routine for showers, toileting, etc. There's usually not an odor but if there is (which is rare), it's most likely because the staff is busy caring for the residents. No problem though it's as simple as informing a staff member. The Staff is courteous, discreet and attentive in bringing resolution to such issues. Again, hygiene and housekeeping problems are rare. My mom has never had a bed sore! They even have a wound care nurse specialist. I can go on and on with good things to say! Nothing is ever as good as home but I know they love my mom, she's safe and well cared for! They would have gotten a "5" but there are just some things (most likely budgetary) that are out of their control. God Bless and best wishes!

My mother was in this facility for over 6 years before she passed away. Just like all places there are good employees and bad employees. I spent time here every week and never met anyone that was anything less than professional. The nurses that I knew were all very caring and I believe they do the best they can considering how many patients they have. I visited several places before deciding to place my mother here and saw some pretty deplorable conditions. I have never had a problem with the level of cleanliness at Chateau.

Not Sure how this place was given 4 stars. After touring the place during the day I had decided to bring my mom there for long term care. I brought my mom there and couldn't believe what I saw. The aid coming to help me get my mom out of the car was my first red flag as she came flying down the stairs with the wheel chair then kept ramming the wheel chair into the glass door.. all the residents were lined up in the hallway about 1 p.m and still lined up when I went back at 730.. My moms room mate I felt so sorry for as she must have been in a soiled diaper all day, You could smell it 3 doors down, the list goes on .. Needless to stay after 10 minutes I took my home with me.. I received a call the next asking why we left . After telling this person everything he then asked me what he could do to make it right , I said I would never bring my Mom back there even if they gave her a private room for one year for free,, Heck I wouldn't even bring my son's guinea pig there.. I only hope that he did review the tape of 2nd shift.and the residents are getting the care they deserve, for some reason I doubt it.. This still blows my mind 2 months later.. the one star is only so I could write this review other wise I would even give one star.

The Chateau was clean, I saw the dining area, and everybody seemed self-sufficient. They showed me the therapy area, and it looked fine. I’ve got nothing negative to say about it. I went a few times, and it looked good. They have shared units, it looked clean, and of pretty good size. However, they didn’t have a courtyard.

I was in Chateau Center for therapy. I was satisfied with the staff. It was pretty nice. They accepted Medicaid patients. If there was one thing they can improve on, it would be the food. They had very good therapy.

I would recommend this facility. Everyone is very friendly, and it's clean. They seem to be very concerned about all the residents. I'm very pleased with the care my husband is getting. They are very competent and provide great care. The facility is very nice also.

Mom was only in Chateau Nursing Center for 10 days. She was there for rehab. The social worker at the hospital where she was at recommended a few different places for us. We went by how much it was going to cost per day and how close it was to our family and both these factors were met by Chateau Nursing Center. Their service was fine. They met our expectations. Their food was not gourmet but it was fine. The facility was clean but it did have an odor about it. It had nothing to do with that being dirty but it just had the odor of these types of facilities. Sometimes where there are elderly sick people with just myriad of incontinent issues, etc., sometimes you just can't get rid of that smell. This facility didn't smell awful but it smelled like a hospital as opposed to a home.

This assisted living facility seems like a fairly decent place. I have visited Chateau Center probably around five times since my grandmother has been a resident. Chateau Center had a Christmas Dinner, I remember, when I went last year to visit my grandmother. I do not have much experience with other assisted living facilities, so I cannot compare with other sites; my impression is that these places are generally depressing. However, Chateau Center seems to be a pretty nice facility. The visiting hours are good and the staff seem friendly enough. The only complaint I can think of about Chateau Center would be that the rooms seem very dark and depressing; but I suppose that's the nature of nursing homes and is probably relative to each individual's needs. Other than that, this assisted living facility/nursing home seems like it's not a bad place. It's a little far off the highway, which makes it a little bit difficult to locate--also, it's located near a funeral home, which is depressing, too. But like I said, the facility itself seems fine.

We had Mom at Chateu for 9 months. The staff took wonderful care of Mom when she was there, they are a group of dedicated and caring nurses. When I visited with Mom everyone of them greeted me with love and compasion and when I left after my visit I was asured she was in good hands. The staff in the dining area took good care of making sure Mom ate and if she was not happy with the meal they would get her what she wanted The Therapy staff handled her with kndness.

This facility located in Hinsdale Illinois was very impressive in appearence. They accept all form of health insurances for forms of payments. There is no on-site dialysis services, the residents are escorted to different facilities if this service is needed, There is a full clinical team to make interdisplinary decisions, servicing skilled , short and long term needs. Residents normally are residing two to a room. There are numerous activities that take place in the building thru out the entire week. The grounds are fair, and the residents seem to be well-connected to the staff. While there I noticed how attentative the staff were to the residents. I would rank this facility a 3 out of 5 stars.

Beginning my search for a nursing facility for my grandmother, I knew exactly what I did not want. I did not want a facility that appeared dirty, had an odor, or seemed to have a revolving door of staff members. A recommendation from a friend brought me to Chateau for a visit. The facility is very clean, there is no overwhelming odor, and the staff is friendly and interactive with the patients. The move-in coordinator was extremely helpful in assisting with the difficult transition to a nursing facility and offered feedback and helpful tips. After moving my grandmother here, I am very happy with my decision. I toured at least 12 facilities before deciding on Chateau. My grandmother has taken her time adjusting, but I appreciate that the staff encourages her to participate in group activities such as Bingo, prayer, and Bunco. I know that in the coming years, her physical capabilities will become more and more limited due to her diagnosis with Parkinson's, but I am hopeful that the staff will continue to work and assist her with her daily activities as they have proven to be very supportive and helpful already. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a new home for an elderly relative who can no longer care for themselves.

My great Aunt was a resident at the Chateau for almost a year. She was end stages Alzheimer's and hospice. The staff, especially nurses and aides, were very kind and caring. They provided an individualized approach to my Aunt and were responsive to families questions and concerns.
