We chose Morningside of Sterling for my mom, and she was able to move in. So, it's the memory care unit. And what I loved is from the first person we met to everybody that's there, they just have the sweetest personalities and caring and do care about the patients. It's only 30 patients, and they take care of each one of them. It's just well run from the first time I talked to them to go in to visit, to moving my mom in. I was just up there to visit this weekend and was in and out three times, it was wonderful each time. It feels like family. They have single rooms, not huge, and a bathroom. So I know she's in a suite. So you walk in and like a hallway area after you walk in the room, and there's one suite, and then she's in the back suite and they share a bathroom. But it's plenty of room for a twin-size bed, dresser, a chair, TV, and then hanging pictures and stuff like that. It has a closet with double doors and then a little linen closet, and then they have a little area in the bathroom that they keep separate for the two. It's ideal. It works well. The staff is caring. They take such good care of my mom. The aides are friendly. They work with the patients. They know the patients' names. The director of nursing is wonderful. The director is fabulous. I mean, I can email, or call anytime to check on my mom and they know who she is and they tell me how she's doing. It's very clean. They have an outdoor area with some plants and stuff. And it's kind of closed off. So they have their own little area. The outdoor space of memory care is not included in assisted living. That is very secure. We don't have to worry about that. And if somebody goes out, they allow them to go out, but usually, somebody goes out with them.

I went to Morningside of Sterling. It was a great place, a little too pricey for me at this point, but they had all kinds of activities. It was very well kept. The apartment that I saw was a studio deluxe, and it was roomy enough. They had bingo going on, and they invited me back on the 29th when something was going on for some kind of a celebration, so I was more than welcome to come. For those that can afford it, I would recommend they check it out. They allow pets at an extra cost.

We placed my Mom in Morningside of Sterling and it's very topnotch in every aspect. The staff is very friendly and caring. The facility is very clean, pleasant, and peaceful. She moved in a week after we contacted via the website in March. I believe it was probably the 2nd week of March. Due to covid restrictions, we can't go to the dining area with my Mom. We took a tour of the place and the dining area was very well lit. We haven't seen the food first-hand, but my Mom is doing well with the diet that she is on now. I know that they have activities there, but as far as what my mom is specifically participating in, I would not know. They have a salon, a nurse on duty all the time, a laundry service, a parlor, and a TV room. They've got an activity room, some shared apartments, and as well as single apartment. Our experience was not in the assisted living part of Morningside, but my mom is in the memory care.

We liked Morningside of Sterling, but the only problem was I'm 68, and my wife at the time was 63. They said she couldn't come in because both parties have to be 65 years old. The rooms were nice, and the general facility was clean and well-kept, so we liked that. You get to go shopping, and they have an activity room. It was a nice place.
