I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother was a resident here. The care givers were nice but I hear they were treated as badly as the residents. The owners of HOMELIFE Companies shut down the nursing home after we paid full rent without any notice and we had no where to take our family members. We are still waiting for answers and refunds.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My dad's first 3 or 4 months at Oak Terrace were probably good. I felt that he was being well cared for and had the proper attention that he needed, but after that, the facility was sold and had a turnover of director of nurses and staff, and eventually, I didn't think he got the care he needed, and I felt that he was somewhat neglected. They allowed us to bring in our own curtains to try to make the room homey for him as long as they're fire retardant. The room was at one point shared with another individual as a double room, and I guess it was OK, but it could have been a little bigger. What I didn't like was the shared bathroom and he had to wait a long time for hot water. The food was fair, and the location was pretty convenient. The pricing was pretty good and was comparable to other places in the area, maybe a little lower. However, I became very dissatisfied.

I am a friend or relative of resident

I recently placed my mother here. The management is very nice and attentive to us. I eat with my mother often and the food is very good. I was pleasantly surprised by the food being so good being it is a nursing home. The activities are wonderful. They involve the people that live there and are sweet to them. I have enjoyed seeing the updates to the building and hear there are many more to come. Oak Terrace is a blessing to my mother and our family.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

We chose Oak Terrace because I heard some good things about it from friends here. I went to visit it and I like what I saw and I like the attitude of the staff. Also it was close to my home. My mother's room is very nice. She has a private room with a private bath. It is very comfortable and homey. I like it. I have meals with her and the food is good. Once and a while, there are days like it is sort of mediocre, but most of the time food is good. They have generally activities that are centered there. They do games and bingo. They have movie nights and things like that. The staff is very nice and very caring. I like that the most.
