We are staying at Brenden Gardens. It's been a good, solid place to live. I have never had any serious complaints about it at all. The housekeeping and maintenance are excellent. The staff members are excellent. If we need some maintenance, they're just excellent at getting right to it and doing it. The servers are wonderful. The meals are supposed to be at the dining hall, but my husband and I both have illnesses that have prevented us from doing that, so we're getting our meals in our room right now, and that's very nice. We have a living room, a kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. It's a little on the small side. It's not spacious, but it's adequate for us. The atmosphere is very cheerful. Everybody seems to be smiling and kind to each other. Everybody greets each other. As far as the activities, there are a lot of themmore than we can do, which is a good thing. They have crafts, bingo, and poker. There are outings. There's a bus, which is wonderful. It takes people who want to go to doctor's appointments or go shopping. We go on trips. Once in a while, we get a health problem, and there's also a team that provides help. You can pay them, and they will do things for like 4 hours a day or whatever you need, which has been helpful. Everybody who comes here from other places brags about the food and says it is so good. Every two weeks or so, we have the same menu. The menu is very good. You get two choices of entrees and a lot of choices of size, and you get a dessert. The facility is clean and well-kept.

Brenden Gardens had lots of activities. They had an activity room and a TV room. Walking the halls, it felt more like you were in a nursing home than you were in an apartment complex and they didn't have any outdoor area. Although they said that there's a pond, it belongs to another company. It was just part of the view that you could get from some of the windows. It felt like we would be signing ourselves into a nursing home and that kind of scared us a bit. The staff were very friendly. The apartments were a little bit smaller than usual. It's an older facility, but it seemed like it was clean and everything. The lady gave us desserts to take home and that was wonderful.

My mother is leaning towards Brenden Gardens. It was nice because they took me and my mom on a tour. They showed us 2 or 3 different apartments and we had lunch with them. And then they showed us the different areas like the library and a mini church. The 1-bedroom looked pretty nice. It had a mini fridge, but it didn't have a stove because they give clients their meals in the dining room. The staff was very friendly. We met the director, the secretary, the dining staff, and the maintenance people. They seemed to be very thorough and they kept checking up on how our process was.

Brenden Gardens was a friendly and welcoming place. The apartment was clean and had modern appliances. The staff was also friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The food was delicious. It tasted like they had somebody actually prepare it. It wasn't just out of a box. It was well presented and it tasted good. They have outings to different stores in the area. They also have a movie room, game room, and those kind of things.

Brenden Gardens was very nice. They showed me the 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments. They were small, but quite comfortable. The staff seemed very nice. There was quite a bit of activity going on. They had bingo, and there were a couple of guys playing pool. They had a library, a billiards place, and a place to play cards. There was a nice big restaurant style eating place. They have a bus that takes you to several different places, like doctors' appointments or grocery shopping.

I thought Brenden Gardens looks more like an apartment living style. You drive up and it looks like just a big, huge, massive apartment building, which is okay. But I have lived in apartments since I was younger. I went in and the staff was very nice and very courteous. The director came in and shook my hand, and made me feel right at home, and then we went across the hallway. We went into a room that was comfortable. It was more of a unit, not an office. And she discussed some things with me and I was kind of happy she answered my questions. Then we went to the units. It was a very small square footage for the money they were asking. I went into a one bedroom and the kitchen was very, very small. It had a little divider and then overlooked a parking lot. I felt it was very small because I've got so many things. The transition for me is going to be very difficult because I've got so much furniture, and I've got so much stuff in storage. Everything was provided, except for my phone.

Brenden Gardens was an all-in-one facility. It looked like a college dorm or something, but they were very nice, and the tour was great. The general manager was also great, but it was not what we liked. They had a big nice activities schedule, and I would assume the residents probably enjoyed it, but I just didn't like how big it was. I didn't like that it was six floors. I was thinking that my mom would never be able to get directions so fast, and she'd probably get lost every time. The guy who tooks us on the tour was nice though. He followed up with us, and just right around Easter time they gave us a big Easter basket with a piece of turtle cheesecake to bring home, and that kind of thing was nice.

Brenden Gardens has declined in the years since my mom has been there. The facility is outdated, and you can't transition to assisted living in the apartments that are there, you have to leave to go to assisted living. The management has very little power, because it's a corporation. COVID vaccine came to this facility last of the whole corporation because it's independent living there, that's what they explained. I get a lot of complaints about the food from my mother. The old cook was great, the new cook is not. The food is very blah, but to be fair, it's COVID, they can't serve hot food to the people, and they can't serve it in a dining room. There are also some aging issues in the facility, like the uneven floors where my mom has fallen on one. She complains about the depths of the carpet too being hard to walk on.

I went to Brenden Gardens. They're very nice. The apartments are dated, and I'm not as happy with the cleaning. The person who accommodated me was very nice, very helpful, very kind, and very informative. The dining area was very clean, and the food was excellent. This was pre-COVID, and they played bingo, they had people come in and entertain, they do community things.

My father moved into Brenden Gardens. His room is fine, its a standard type, and a little apartment. The staff was great, and the building is clean and well maintained. They had an exercise room, reading room, and kind of library combination. There was a laundry facility as well, and they have a shuttle service.

Brenden Gardens was a very nice community and the staff seemed great. The gentleman who gave us the tour was very nice and polite. However, nothing really stood out about it. It felt like a hotel with how it was laid out and how the building was set up. They have the standard amenities, like kitchen for the meals and laundry on each floor. They had a couple of activities planned. It was very nice, but it didn't feel very welcoming. There weren't a whole lot of people outside of their rooms. The people that we did run into were very nice, but it felt more sterile than anything else. That may have been because they were working on some of the floors while we were there.

We visited Brenden Gardens. They took us on the tour, showed us the rooms, and provided us with a meal to see what the cooking was like. The rooms were pretty nice and pretty well cared for. The food was very good. I thought the dining area was very clean and looked like a really nice restaurant. The staff was very helpful. They gave us a folder with different information on the types of activities that were available, like bus trips to go shopping or to the doctor's office. They treated us very well, and I thought the price was fair.

I am currently at Brenden Gardens. Their outside maintenance is very good. The place is very clean, and when they see a spot on the carpet, they clean it right away. The place is very easy to navigate. My room is bigger than a studio apartment. I have a kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, and a microwave, plus a nice-sized bedroom and three closets. We have various activities like exercise, shopping, doctors' appointments, and special outings by bus to eat out. We have a meeting once a month to discuss the food that we like and don't like. Overall, it's a good place to live.

My sister liked the people who ran it, and they had been there for a long period of time. The place was open, and there was some space around it. It wasn’t right in the town. The other thing was the people there seemed to be more active just on the short visit. The public areas were better than some of the others. The living room was of nice size as well as the bedroom. They have nice closet space. The kitchen area was quite nice, and from the kitchenette they have had a bar with stools, and you can eat there if you like. There was a closet to your right, and the kitchen area was to the left. It seems to me that some of the rooms have a balcony. We had a meal, and the food was good. We chose the spaghetti, and it was good. The coffee was good, too. They have a brand new bus for transportation to and from. The other thing we liked about it is that when she gets ready to move, they will call the nurse and have them move her out there, and they will hang her pictures and take care of the television and look after all of that.

I am quite happy with Brenden Gardens. It was very nice and they seemed to be very accommodating. The apartments were rather small, and some of them didn't have the greatest view from the window. I knew that my mom would probably get the properly assistance, and they have a couple different firms come in to assist the clients. Transportation also seemed to be good since they had vans to take clients to doctors' appointments. For what you get, price is pretty reasonable. The residents said the food was really good and a couple of ladies I talked to were very happy there.

My mother-in-law has been in Brenden Gardens for a month now. She seems very happy, and it’s been a very positive experience. She has a spacious private room with a living room, kitchen, and bedroom. She is happy with the food, and she’s getting three meals a day. They have a beauty shop and a workout room she doesn’t use. They have different activities they can do, and they take a bus to different places every week for shopping and doctors' appointments.

My parents lived at Brenden Gardens for the last five years. It’s a wonderful place. The staff is very accommodating and genuinely kind to the residents. They do all they can to help them. Even though it's an independent place, they have their meals served to the residents. They come in and clean for them. They keep the facility really nice and clean. There is never a bad odor in the place. The people are genuinely kind.

I lived at Brenden Gardens for 6 years. I liked it because it was clean, and the staff was great and informed; it made me feel comfortable. They had lots of activities. They take you shopping; they had something planned for every day. You don’t have to go, but it’s available if you want to go. I don’t think they had to have as many rules as there was, but I would recommend them for anybody.
