My husband was in this facility and the care given was great. The staff was so attentive, helpful and so very friendly his experience there was great, very clean and it's a beautiful place. I commend the individual in charge as moral in the workplace was very high everyone had a great attitude; they were so very nice and welcoming we were fortunate to have Maggie who went out of her way to ensure the stay was above expectations. Sending huge KUDOS to the staff and many thank Yous to the all the staff at Bria as they were amazing. I truly recommend this facility.

This place is AWFUL! My Dad was sent here from the hospital for rehab to gain strength, He has been there 5 days and maybe 1 hour total of therapy. He is a fall risk and it has taken over 35 minutes to answer a call button. I had to stop someone and ask, and even then they did not respond. I have requested to speak with head of nursing, on-site patient care and have not seen a single person. He needed a stool sample and it has taken 3 days because he has to get up and walk (against doctors orders) to the bathroom or he will sit in soiled bed. They did put a hat on the toilet, OH BUT THEY PUT IT IN UPSIDE DOWN! He has dietary resitrictions and they gave him cold refried beans and corn. They have not cleaned his room or bathroom, DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY HERE> I am giving 0 stars on all

The food was terrible. I would not even feed it to a home less person. The toast was as hard as a rock. You would get coffee and milk some days, other days you would get nothing unless you as you asked and you were lucky if you got it. There was a woman who checked in one day and transferred to another facility the very next day, she wasn't even there 24 hours! Seems liked no one wanted to do any work, that the patients were a bother to them. No patient should ever be left in a soiled bed for hours. My colostomy bag needed to be changed and/or drained numerous times, I called out along with hitting my call button for someone to come in & tend to me, I would sit in my soiled bed for hours, this is unacceptable! Sometimes the call buttons in the room didn't work and nothing was done about that either. Ending results this place should be closed down, I don't think the people in charge would want their parents or loved one treated this way.

Staff does not care , not attentive. Would never leave a loved one alone here —— workers just don’t care , dont respond to patient’s when they need help. Disgusted that management allows the neglect , and doesn’t care that workers are terrible. Just disgusted to see how elders are neglected.

My mom was sent to rehab for a two week stay. We took my mom out before the first week ended. This facility has workers that would not answer patient calls , when I confronted the neglect - the first time worker stated they were busy writing notes , another time they stated they were on break , another time they said didn’t see call for help. ( they don’t have someone fill in when on break ? They didn’t see ? ). I was crying every day , worrying for my mom until I could take her away from the neglect. We were happy to pull her out early and bring her home even if she didn’t finish the recommended stay. Terrible terrible workers with no ethic. No respect for their job or care for any patient. Please take care of your loved ones , don’t leave them alone! I am disgusted. When we discussed with higher management ….. it did nothing. Workers DO NOT CARE. Management has no control and doesn’t help. Food were scraps ( can tell used the cheapest and scrap remains ) and not according to dietary needs.

My sister was referred to Bria from the hospital she was at with a 4.5 star out of 5 rating. She was admitter for strength in walking and rising from seat, etc. What she found was basically unresponsive staff especially CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANTS. She wore a diaper of which they would leave her in Soiled Garments Up To 12 hours. She missed most of her Physical Therapy sessions because she was dirty. Sometimes the P/T would clean her and that was the session. My sister came home worse than before she went in. Facility is Negligent.

Bria is a very clean facility. Initially I thought the staff was great. During the first few days, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, but as time passed I found the staff to be completely unavailable and very rude. Therapy was very limited and communication poor between nursing staff and the therapy department. I had an encounter with a nurse one day and expressed to her that I had called for a CNA 3 times with no response and told her this place was awful. Instead of helping me or trying to look for a solution, she held up her arms and said "I agree". Expect a skeleton crew on the weekends with nurses who can care less about the patients.

BRIA of Palos Hill was a modern facility. It's very clean, up to date, bright, and cheery. They just didn't have any space at the time, but the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were large enough. They were bright and clean. I liked it. Maintenance was excellent. It was painted. No chipping. It was very nice.

I wish I could give them zero stars. This facility should be shut down. My dad was sent there to recover from covid and when we arrived first thing in the morning we found him with no blankets, only a t-shirt on and covered in his own feces. He was severely dehydrated. During his stay there the staff continued to tell us that he was urinating which he was not. We had no choice but to keep him there until he was so bad, he was taken back to the ER with kidney failure and later died. Do not send anyone you love here.

My sister in law was a patient , she is highly diabetic, at Bria of Palos Hill for about 3weeks. Even toght the building is nice the walls do not make it a good facility, people who are managing it will make it a good place to take your loved one. It started with not beeing able to get a call back from the director of nursing Ashley, the assistent to the director of nursing on the 2nd floor just sits in her office with the door closed and does not talk to anybody. Also the administrator Maggie is not returning calls. The lack of care and communication is why I do not think anybody should take their family member to this Facility.

My mother is in rehab now at BRIA of Palos Hills. It's very nice. I had to give a compliment to one of the nurses that were there. Even though my mom has been there for almost six weeks, they've been doing a very good job, and I told them that. They're very nice. The rooms are nice. The nurses are nice. I rate them very well. Full five stars. Very nice facility. They have an activity room, my mother hasn't made it there yet, but where they do arts and crafts, where they have popcorn socials, and where they make things, that's nice too. The rehab facility where the physical therapists work with you at, that's nice and clean. That's in front of a building. The floors are nice. They have a conference room and a dining area. The food looks good. My mother is up in age; she's 93. She suffered a stroke, so we are trying to get her taste buds back. She says she doesn't like it, but I don't see anything wrong with it. But her taste buds are gone, so I'm just trying to get her to eat. She had a stroke, and when she went in, she wasn't talking, and she slept all the time. But now they got her up, and she's talking. She hasn't walked yet, but she is moving around and holding a conversation. She's doing pretty good. The rooms are clean. The housekeeping comes and they maintain the room. The facility doesn't have a smell to it. They change the sheets, and they keep her dressed. I would recommend it. The place is well-kept. They comply with the COVID-19 protocol. You come in there with a mask. If you don't have one, they give you one. You wipe your hands, and then you go visit the patient or whatever. You can come out and talk to the nurse. You can communicate with them, and they communicate with you. The speech pathologist, the physical therapist, and the occupational therapist, all communicate with you and tell you about how your loved one is doing, or if they need some more help, they'll let you know. The rooms are very nice.

My mom had the most horrible experience! The transition from hospital to rehab was just horrible experience they left her sitting on edge of bed and she was a fall risk! Forgot to bring her dinner and threw her a dry hamburger when asked if she was going to eat. Never received breakfast the next morning! And the list just goes on . I would not bring my pet rat here for treatment.

The staff does not care about the patients and will leave them dirty without proper care. The manager advised he would check on my family member but never did as well as have a stupid excuse that he is new. This place should be shut down.

My sister-in-law was at STRIVE Center for Rehabilitation at Bria of Palos Hills for rehab before she went to their assisted living. My husband visited her there on the patio, and we went by. The nursing rehab was very good. The senior living where she is now is excellent. They assisted her with some things. I suggest they give instruction on which entrance to use if you're meeting someone outside. We're satisfied with the care she received there.

Palos Hills Healthcare is giving my friend the best care she has probably ever had. She has one-on-one care, nurses are watching her around the clock and always available, and the CNAs are extremely helpful. Her meds are also being watched carefully, which never happened anywhere else. They're on top of their game. Regarding clothes being stolen or missing, it happened initially because she had a roommate who was a klepto so she'd always move everything. But now things are more orderly, and I can't really say more nice things about the doctors and nurses that provide the care. They're planning to build on the memory care.

My mother is currently in STRIVE Center for Rehabilitation at Bria of Palos Hills. It just opened recently. It’s not even a year old. The place is very clean and beautiful. The people are very nice. The food is not the best, but I think they’re just a little disorganized. I think the staff was patient and caring.

My mother was transferred to this facility in 2007 during post op recovery from a valve replacement surg and complications. Although I had POA and would always do my homework on the facility my mother would receive care, I was having my son and gave temp poa to my brother. My mother had been in this facility for 3 days before I was able to see her, I was able to make it to the hospital she was leaving from to go the this facility and she looked great. She was talking and in overall good spirits. She left that facility on a thursday. By sunday, my mother was dehydrated, her eyes were stuck together by mucus, she was extremely weak and so happy to see me because she knew somehow I would get her out of there and that I did! I requested she be taken to an emergency room for evaluation and sure enough she had pneumonia and was admitted to the Hospital. This place at this time was not fit for patient care. I would not recommend it to others.

My mother was in this facility for 8 months until her death after a broken hip. She was also on dialysis so there wasn't much of a choice. Most of the staff was caring, friendly and competent. I did find my mom on the floor, and another time had a misunderstanding with a staff member who needed to be reminded I had POA with regard to where she was to go for medical treatment. A couple of staff members were very good. I'm glad there were many family members going to check on her daily. They do accept Medicaid. It's a very old building and for the last 6 years have supposed to have started building a new facility. Most of the patients basically appeared to be adequately cared for.

I don't have strong feelings about this nursing home one way or the other. I was told that this nursing home has new owners, that they have been trying to improve its appearance, but that they have not finished yet. That might explain why the lobby and front have new floors, but the dining room area (which also services as an an activity room)and the patient rooms look dull. The facility is a one story building in Palos Hills on a main drag (Roberts avenue, very near a good Polish deli/grocery). There is sufficient parking on the side of the building. The lobby is nice, albeit kind of small. There were several people sitting there the day I was there and all the chairs were occupied. Outside of the lobby, I could smell mildly bad odors (not terrible, but not great either). The rooms were typical for nursing homes, rather institutionalized I thought. Residents eat in the dining room which is really a multipurpose room -- nothing special here. It could be made to look much more inviting. As for the food, one resident said that on a scale of 1 - 10, she would give it a four or a five. For dinner there is a choice between two entrees. On this particular night it was either fish or meatloaf. What did impress me was one staff person who was exceedingly polite and sensitive to a resident. Another resident seemed to like one particular CNA. The residents I spoke to were chatty and seemed comfortable. Overall this seemed to be a rather ordinary nursing home but on its way toward improvement.
