My father is in Ascension Living Saint Benedict Village. It's a very good facility and clean. They take care of the residents. The staff is very good and very helpful. They've been very attentive to his needs. They were also able to set up extra physical therapy for him. He's in a shared room and it has all the essentials that he needs. They do have activities. I know for a fact that he's been playing bingo there. They have some exercise activities for the residents. In one of the rooms, they show old movies. I haven't had any issues. I know my father nicked himself or whatever, and they call right away if there's any sort of a problem. They contact me directly. It's a little bit expensive, but it's comparable to every place else that's private pay.

My uncle was a patient at St. Benedict's for several weeks from May through July of this year following a series of small strokes. I was very impressed with the quality of the staff overall, from the friendly receptionist at the front desk to the bedside staff. Most of the nurses, and several in particular, were so patient and kind with my uncle when he became confused. I felt that the majority of staff were very dedicated and went out of their way to make sure that he and his wife had what they needed for a comfortable stay. The physical therapists were wonderful too, encouraging him to do his best. The food was good and the dining staff accommodating. The residents looked clean and well-cared for. As a nurse for 29 years, I do not often have such good comments to make about long-term care facilities, but felt compelled to make the effort here. This place is truly a blessing to those who need long term care and rehab.

St Benedict is actually rehab and skilled nursing. They really helped my mom get better. Their physical therapy is really great. I would give their room a nine out of ten. The only reason it doesn't get a ten is because they had to do some construction while my mom was there which is unavoidable. In general, I though the facility is great. My mother gets her food cold about one out of three times. Cold food isn't good for anybody. The staffs are really good and really helpful. Those people are so committed to their job and what they do.
