My mother stayed for six week of rehab for a non weight baring broken ankle. She had a lovely room that was very roomy with a lift chair. The staff was always available and attentive to my mom and her needs.

Wonderful caring staff. Always pleasant and professional. Great communication to family. Nursing director and Administration genuinely cares about staff and residents. Fun daily activities for residents. Delicious meals and snacks served in a family set dining area. I Found the perfect place for grandma! I Would recommend Metropolis Nursing and Rehab to anyone for long term or short term care.

I found the employees very friendly and always bent over backwards to help. Very clean facility and very professional staff.

The entirety of the time I spent in this assisted living facility I felt like I was in the way. My father had the same thoughts himself about his time there. I suppose in a place like this it's the nurses and staff that determine how you feel about it, and if that's the case he and I both felt that we were just in the way. He occasionally would try to spend time with other residents but their experiences with the place had all but soured them to inter-patient communication. I also not so fondly recall a time when I wasn't even allowed in the living areas simply because the nurse on duty did not recognize me. She said I looked "shady". I was just there to visit my father and even his adamant insistence that I was his son didn't get me in. I wasn't on "some list" that she had in front of her despite me visiting the place many, many, many times before. It was not a good time all around.
