My husband has been in River Crossing of Joliet. He is living there mostly for dementia. They take care of them. They notify me all the time with any problems. The staff is very friendly. He has a great roommate. They treat him nice. I would recommend the home. His room is almost like a hospital setting. They have some private rooms, but he's in a shared room. They have certain days they pick out to have carnival days, fun days, and they always have activities going on. They played bingo. He's busy there, and he doesn't just sit in all day. The staff is terrific. The food is great. It is good that they are in the process of remodeling with new flooring, wallpaper on walls, and paint, so they're slowly upgrading.

Half the time I didn't eat unless I asked for my food. Then I ate an hour to two hours after everyone else. On 12/24 I was given nothing fir dinner. They served a turkey sandwich. I don't like turkey and asked for a different kind in which I was told there was no one to make one. It took them 2 weeks to get me in the system so I could be served food. Going to bed hungry. Good night
