This is such a beautiful facility! A friend and I were looking for a place for her mom for the future. Not only was Lori Cantway (the director of the facility) such a friendly and welcoming person, she was also very warm hearted. She answered all of the questions my friend had asked and also welcomed us to stay for lunch. This would definitely be a great place to be!

Eden Supportive Living was nice, but they would not take my insurance. They provide three meals a day. I saw the workout room and a small library. They have trips and activities like games. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The location was convenient to get to, but there was no parking.

I had an excellent visit at Eden Supportive Living Chicago North. They treated me like a king when I walked in there. David did all the explanations and showed me the rooms. They had a theater room with a gigantic TV, a room where you can watch individual TV, and a pretty good-sized pool table. They had guitar lessons and outdoor activities, like going out on a boat, fishing, and tours around the city. They had a cafeteria downstairs. It was a very nice place. I can say it was a very high security profiled place.

This is a supportive living facility for non-geriatric physcially disabled persons. It is one of only a few options for this population that accepts both private-pay and Illinois Medicaid. The building is set in a safe residential neighborhood of Chicago that is typically highly desirable; it is not in a "low rent" district. Public transportation is easily accessible and Wrigley Field and Lake Michigan are only a few minutes away. Being in the city there is no real outdoor space so residents tend to congregate right outside the front of the building to socialize. It is generally safe to walk in the neighborhood. The interior of the facility offers numerous choices of common areas including a theater room, two exercise areas, a library, computer room, and multiple places to just sit and relax. The furnishings are tasteful and comfortable. Resident apartments tend to be on the small side and are either studios or shared three room (two bedrooms and a common room) arrangements. Storage is adequate considering the size of the apartments. Some aparments have nice pleasant views and others look out onto brick walls or rooftops. All have private baths with a shower. The food is average to good though some residents complain that the use of ingredients seems repetative and limited. The staff are commited to serving the needs of their resident and provide respectful, kind and patient personal care.
