I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I had family members who stayed at Fireside House of Centralia. They have a good rehab there. The grounds are fair. The patients can go outside and walk around and they don't have to worry about cars or anything. The rooms are clean. They have a pretty good staff. If you have a patient in the nursing home, you can go in and have parties and they help with the food and stuff. They encourage people to go in and do that. Their service is good. If the patients can't walk, they help them to and from the bathroom and they also get them dressed. If they're having trouble eating, they feed them. They just take care of them better. They have games, they bring people in to play music, and they have entertainment. They just get to do more things. The food is good. People seem to like it.

I visited this facility

The staff members of Fireside House created a very friendly and welcoming environment at all times during my tour of the facility. The residents' dining room is extremely spacious and appears to be very well maintained. I was able to speak with several of the facility's residents, who all shared positive attitudes and smiles. The residents' rooms were fairly spacious and seemed clean and tidy. All of the interactions between staff members and residents that I observed consistently displayed mutual respect and positive working relationships. The staff organizes daily physical and mentally-stimulating activities for all residents who wish to participate. The facility has constructed and organized a specialized department for residents with more severe memory impairments and dementia, and the residents involved in this department participate in daily structured activities to improve the quality of their lives. The area outside of the facility is beautifully decorated with several flower gardens and benches for visiting and relaxing. At the time of my visit, the Fireside House was undergoing extensive construction to further improve its infrastructure. Overall, I had a highly positive experience when I visited the Fireside House of Centralia.

I visited this facility

My uncle had also been admitted to this same nursing home, so I was familiar with the facility. The facility has very clean accommodations and very friendly and caring staff.Their treatment of my grandfather was compassionate and respectful. They remembered his name and family and different subjects he had spoken to them about earlier in his stay. They were very friendly.Different church organizations in the area also frequent the nursing home to minister to residents through song and preaching and the administrators of the facility are very accommodating of them.

Great place, Great staff

I moved my family member to Fireside House from another local nursing home due to poor care. I had heard that Fireside House had excellent staff and gave great care. I learned that these things are true. It may be an old building and not as fancy as some may want, but the care was amazing, and really isnt that what we all really want? They are so attentive. Never did I ask a question and not get an answer. If they didnt know the answer, they found out. Everyone is so friendly, always speaking to everyone that comes in. they make you feel wanted and liked and welcome. Like you are part of their family. they make it clear that you dont have to worry about your family member being taken care of. Its obvious that they are! I wish Fireside House had been my first choice.
