My father is at The Villas of Holly Brook Reflections Memory Care. The staff involves us with Dad's care. I'm fortunate enough that I have a sister who lives in town. There were times when they knew that the best solution if dad was acting a little funky because of his memory was to call my sister and have her come out. If my dad is a little agitated, my sister being there almost immediately calms him, so they're very good about giving her a call. Even the other day, they had an issue where they had two residents had slipped and fallen and Dad was a little agitated, they had no problem calling my sister to have her come and help our dad. The food is average. He may not always participate, but I know that they have a variety of activities for him. They do bingo and movie nights, and they have a coffee day. They had a National Cupcake Day, so they had the residents help prepare cupcakes. They have different groups come in and sing. It seems that they have a decent amount of activity.

My wife is in the Villas of Holly Brook and Reflections Bloomington, Illinois. The community is very friendly, and the staff is very friendly with the patients. The facilities are very good. It's very patient-friendly, with plenty of space. The food's been very good. It's very open and spacious. The seating area is relaxing, with plenty of light, and a lot of skylights. So, daylight gets in there pretty well, and It's very bright. They got board games, card games, singing, community exercising, music, and piano playing, and they have singers that come in there every weekend to sing songs for them. They have a good physical therapy section there. The staff needs training in taking care of the patients. My wife's been in there just a year now. So they've been going through a lot of staff changes and it's been up and down with the staff taking care of my wife, and housekeeping. It's a new facility, about five years old, and up to date.
