My Dad lives at Camilla Gardens. He has multiple medical problems along with some dementia. When I visit I see the Administrator and DON rounding. I have never met one staff member in this facility who do not go out of their way to speak and help. The dietary staff are very nice too and dad looks forward to eating their good food. They have a lot of engaging activities for the elderly. The other patients are great. Dad is often at a table with others in activities. Singing, bingo, and church to mention a few. I even have pictures where he visited Santa and the Easter bunny. He has two roommates. Therapy and the social worker are awesome too.

The rooms are not clean. It was impossible to get to the bathroom (there was equipment stored in the bathroom making it impossible to use. The ceiling tiles were terribly stained and falling down. I would not put anyone there again. The staff was rude and uncaring. My husband was left in his bodily waste because the staff assigned to him said "I am not cleaning him up". "That's not my job". he had to be moved to the hospital because of Sepsis poisoning. The staff was cruel to him when I was not around to care for him. Do not put anyone you love in this disgraceful place.

The aides were not that great. It didn't seem like they cared about the people there. There were one or two that were OK, and then there were a couple of nurses that were giving me a little hard time with my medications. The reason I went to Camellia Gardens was the physical therapy was excellent. I had my hip replaced, and I needed inpatient therapy for that. They placed me there so I can be close to home and my husband can visit. I was totally bedridden, and they got me back on my feet. There were one or two aides that were giving me a hard time. They did their job and that's all they did with no personality to the whole thing. It looked clean though, and it was a nice environment. The only drawback I had was I wasn't used to sharing a room with anybody. It was older, and the bathrooms were not suitable for wheelchairs. Even if you got in the bathroom, you couldn't turn the chair around to the sink. It was kind of tricky.

This facility is very clean. Great staff. It has all the accommodations you can possibly ask for if your loved one is staying short term or long term. There activities are well planned and fun.

Please visit this place and interview there staff before you seriously approve your love one residing here. We have an family member that was placed here and it had been a nightmare for our love one, as well as the family. If the issues were pertaining to one or even two individuals, you could say it may be a communications error. But there are issues all over, but mostly with there senior staff. Again, interview there senior staff, starting with the Head of social services, all the way to there DON(director of nurses). These guys just don't seem to have a great relationship with the family and patient.
