My wife is currently at Azalealand. So far, I have no problem with it, and it's excellent. The staff is nice, very cooperative and informative, and they treat my wife well. They have activities for the residents there, but she's not capable of doing much right now. They do all kinds of stuff in there and she seems to be satisfied. It's private-owned. It's not owned by a company, but by individuals. A doctor and his wife established it in 1947 and, so far, the family is still involved in it. Her room is the standard expectation. It's more like a hospital room with a hospital-type bed, a television, a place to put your stuff, and it's quite adequate. She's in a wheelchair when she moves around, although she can walk some, and they take care of all that. The staff has been nice, and the whole place has been excellent. I have no problem with them or their operations except maybe stuff they have no control of.

My husband was at Azalealand Nursing Home. The staff was very helpful and caring. It is a family-owned home, and it has been here for close to 40 years, I think. A brother and a sister own it, and they are there everyday. The food was pretty good. There were things going on. They have book club frequently, they have games out in the main big area, and they have ice cream Sunday afternoon. They also have physical therapy. My husband had a private room, and it was adequate.
