We found Presbyterian Homes for my mom. It's excellent and their rooms are like college dorm room. My mom has a private room, which is ten steps to the nurses station and 15 steps to the dining room. Everything she needs is right there. As far as amenities, they have a beauty shop and a pool, which hardly anybody uses. They do offer things that elderly people are not able to do anymore because of their situation. They also provide meals. Everything seems like it's going good and it seems like it's a really good place. They're also always very clean.

We visited and toured the facility several times and was placed on the waiting list for a private room. After approximately 10-11 months of visiting and following up, I was told that two private rooms would very soon be available. The admissions lady was leaving for maternity leave, but assured me that we were first on the list and that we would be notified soon. We were givin the paperwork and had it filled out completely. After about two months of hearing nothing, we called to follow up, but were told the two rooms were no longer available, and they had no idea when a private room or double occupancy room would be available. They didnt even take the time to call. They gave our room to someone else and didnt have the courtesy to make a phone call. We have now wasted a year of our lives waiting on Presbyterian Home. We trusted what we were told so we did not look for an alternative. Now we have to start over. One would think that Presbyterian Home Quitman would be more sympathetic and understanding considering their customers are going through the toughest time of their lives.

This place is great. I have been here on many occasions. Its a nursing home and a retirement center combined. #1 The director of admissions (Kimberly) is by far the best person on the employee board. She makes you feel comfortable just by talking to her on the phone. Once you visit this place, it is quality care all around...from the staff to clients. Great place to go to. If you go to their website and look at the event calendar, you can see that this place is all about their clients. They even provide a church service. Wow!
