We moved our mom into Heritage Estate, which was a converted 5-room home, and the owner was a nurse who provided the home with supplemental help. My mother and another resident needed hospice, so hospice came to help out. There were only two residents at the time my mother was there so the owner was able to spend time helping my mother out with everything she needed. It was an excellent, immaculate, lovely place, and the owner was awesome and caring. She checked on my mother every two hours all night long because she made a residence for herself downstairs. The room that my mother had was lovely. It was a perfect choice, and if I had another parent, I would put them there, too. The owner also made the meals for each resident based on whatever they needed or health issues they had. The residents were free to do whatever they wanted to do, like watch TV, play games or something. It was half the price of all those other places.
